Belmont: Vampire Killer (Amazing Acolades Update!!)

Description
Character Codex is extremely, highly, freakishly recommended. It's been set as a requirement so you can instantly download it with the character. But is not required for the character to be played. However if you want to complete achivements and earn rewards or use any skins you'll need to have codex.

Belmont, monster assassin and warrior, powers up with collectible items and extra weapons to fill out his move set for a unique Search Action inspired playstyle! He comes with a healthy variety of melee attacks as well as many setup tools. He starts off a bit weak, but becomes a highly versatile threat when fully stocked.

By completing certain conditions, he can cause ammo, new weapons, and even the Belmont family crest to drop from the opponent on hit. These items must be collected by making contact with them!

  • New weapons expand your moveset with a new special and a new super *each*. The family crest upgrades his primary weapon, called Vampire Killer, making it deal more damage and giving him more range.

  • He also has a few martial arts attacks that are independent of all of these. As well as many free action toggles that influence his moves. By mixing and matching all of the above you can abuse his tricky monster slaying techniques to out maneuver your opponents.

  • But be advised! The ultimate power of his fully leveled primary weapon is reverted if you get hit. Sending you back temporarily to it's previous form until you collect another powerup.

  • With a game faithful moveset (sometimes down to the frame data), and even more faithful sound design (and accurately bad voice acting) Belmont is a first of his kind character. A direct port of stuff from other (non fighting) games to Yomi. With a unique Search Action inspired playstyle, risk taking and decision making are more important than ever!

  • The lovingly done implementation of everything he does, done by diehard Castlevania fans; is certain to elate every single little microbe of joy that Konami refuses to these days to anyone in the know. But even if you know jack squat, Belmont comes equipped with a very in depth codex! With the knowledge collected over a thousand years of crusading against the dark lord of Castlevania, anyone can slay the monsters lurking in custom character steam lobbies!

So grab your magical transforming flail, a few knives, and all the love of free will and humanity you can muster! You'll need it for the challenges ahead of you.

Thanks guys for 40k!

Your patience will be rewarded with that new update. It will take the aesthetics of the character to a whole new level.

I got it to work!
you do need to have every other weapon.
It feels kinda justified so you couldn't just get a hustle off somewhere in the match and just get the stopwatch? maybe it's more reasonable now though

You need to have every other subweapon I'm pretty sure.

That's an artifact of old timestop that was a design cancer we had to cure. I'll see if we feel like we can justify removing that requirement.

hmm, it still seems to be not showing up in the scavenge shop either. is there more to completing a full hustle? Is it not available in singleplayer? does it require to be against another modded character? is this a my copy issue somehow?
either I'm not getting something, or something seems wrong

You have to buy stopwatch with Scavenge.

You'll like stopwatch then! It's his ultimatum of his design of punishing uninteractive play. Especially ever since the overhaul. Buying it from the shop just means that you don't have to rely on hitting the opponent to make it drop.

wanted to this to the other comment but forgot, this character is really cool, and I can say that even *not* as a castlevania fan. really fun to play as, and that's saying something when most modded lobbies are people trying their best to be completely uninterative, which is a massive compliment to make that fun! (belmont also basically hard counters that playstyle which is very awesome:steamthumbsup:)

The watch doesn't seem to show up, even if I do a hustle. I'm waiting for the animation to fully finish, but even still it doesn't do anything, even if I have the other subweapons. is it not working properly or is there an additional requirement I'm not meeting?
