Regarding velocity pivots, you can calculate the throttle needed for a specific rps value.
Feel free to add this formula to your guide:
ratio a:b = 1:4 --ratio set in the selection property
a = 1
b = 4
rps = throttle * 5 * a / b --get rps from n throttle
throttle = rps * b / 5 * a --get throttle needed to reach n rps
examples:
for 0.5 rps with 1:4 ratio:
rps = 0.5
throttle = rps * 4 / 5 * 1
throttle = 0.4
same with 1:16 gear ratio:
rps = 0.5
throttle = rps * 16 / 5 * 1
throttle = 1.6
