did the hl2 20th anniversary update ruin this? I'm guessing it did because gmod updated to be on par with the 20th anniversary update and now has hl2 and it's episodes added as a game

I checked, I didn't notice any problems, you have a conflicting addon, most likely hl2 animations fix or something similar
