As this is an rpg it has party members you can get to aid you in your heroic struggle (in this case less to save the world and more to save yourself from crushing poverty on dark acid-rainslicked dystopian streets), this is a little guide on where (and how) to find them.

Chronic
Location: Eclipse nightclub (down in the basement weapon shop)
Recruitment: After talking to Lynch upstairs for the first time Chronic will become more chatty, turns out he wants booze if he's gonna be your buddy (specifically 3 "Bootleg Booze").
He points you in the direction of where to buy it so pretty simple; The Bazaar in the Slabs, which is found to the north of the area the Eclipse is in (entered through a hole in the fence at the north east corner).
After getting to the Slabs and heading into the Bazaar past all the chromed-up punks guarding the place talk to 'Boozer' and buy three bottles, doesn't cost all that much. Bring them back to make friends with a violent cybernetic merc.

Cassia
Location: Leaky Pipe bar, Industrial Zone
Recruitment:This little lady can be found sitting around at the bar just above the subway station in low spirits after a job gone bad cost her some important gear.
After talking will turn out she wants a Storm Hackpad replacement before she'll team up with you (Digit found in the Condemned Apartments over in Smugglers Bend can sell you that sort of gear), bring her one to make friends with a cute netpunk.

Jackal
Location: The Descent nightclub, Ashen Row
Recruitment: Can be found working security in the AugWare lab in the basement of the club.
Wants 300 credits to join up with you (if you have the Military Tone Talent you can get a 50 credit discount on this). Pay the sign-up cost to make friends with a professional ex-soldier.


Drako
Location: Lamplight Market
Recruitment: Drako is a bit more prickly than most, to get the man to open up about his past when talking to him requires either the Outsider background or 9 Resolve.
After that hurdle just ask him to team-up to make friends with a cagey drifter.


Vex
Location: Industrial Zone, Hab Block 28: F2
Recruitment: Won't be present initially; you have to talk to a merchant named Slug over in Lamplight Market and ask "Know anyone who can watch my back?" to make him appear.
Having done that head across to the Hab Block where you'll find him standing around on the second floor (you might need to accept the quest to get rid of Manic from the group of residents on the lower floor blocking the way to get access)
After being able to talk to him you get the option to recruit, will need either a positive reputation of 10+ or 7 resolve to convince him. Do that to make friends with a morose neo-ronin.

Indigo
Location: Ashen Row
Recruitment: Getting her to appear is a bit of an involved process; first in Ashen Row find a hooded homeless man named Noah next to a barrel fire south of The Descent nightclub who will give you a quest to deal with a rat infestation in the warehouse at the northwest corner of the area (you can just go in and kill them at their nest in a normal fight or use 2 gas grenades at the vent like he suggests).
After you complete the sidequest with him the warehouse will populate with people but most importantly you will find a Dr Cranlin who gives a quest to donate medical supplies (in the form of the bandage, painkillers & med kit healing items) to her, the goal being to reach 850 'points' and each item adding a different amount to that total (30 / 55 / 80 respectively).
Now having completed THAT sidequest when you leave the warehouse you will notice someone standing nearby, this is Indigo, when you talk to her simply accept her offer to join to make friends with a big-hearted police medic.

Redshift
Location: The Slabs
Recruitment: Will find her in the street watching the Bazaar, when talking to her need at least 15 total rep or either of the Civic / Police Tone Talents to get her to reveal her goal then can propose to team up, do so to makes friends with a grief-stricken 'lancer
(As an aside recruiting her opens up the quest to kill the target of her revenge in the Bazaar, the door to him is right at the back. You don't technically need to have her in the team to fight him but if she's around she gets some permanent benefits after said bossfight.)

Lace
Location: FSM Headquarters, Freight Haven
Recruitment: Complete one of the primary quests ("Rags to Riches" / "Waste Nothing" / "Dead Air") for the FSM then talk to Lace and ask her to join you, in doing so make friends with a socially-minded warrior
