-----------------------
23 March, 1945. Rhine River, near Wesel, Germany. Today's the day: the day when we finally punch through the Rhine and steamroll into Germany. Our mission is to secure a one-mile deep beach head on the opposite bank, to allow for engineers to build a bridge big enough for our exploitative armored force. To achieve this, we need to conduct an amphibious assault on German defenses on the east bank, and then follow through with an assault through to the church in the center of town. We expect the Germans to put up a stiff fight, as this is their last major natural obstacle to prevent us from breaking into central and eastern Germany. Intel assesses they've got a mix of regulars, volksgrenadiers, and even some panzer regiments in the area. We're plus-ing the assault teams up with bazookas and satchel charges, as a result. Good luck, I'll see you in Berlin.

(This mission is heavily inspired from the old Call of Duty 2 mission on the same topic - it's not historically accurate, near as I can tell, but it is a lot of fun!)

Really like the mission! One detail I like are the C17s flying above and some getting shot down.
