Description
This is a proof-of-concept mod that adds dynamic cloud shadows to base game weather maps.

IMPORTANT:
This mod is functional, but has technical limitations that may require a manual config tweak.
It's possible that the shadows will disappear with camera distance or at specific angles. This issue will be exacerbated when playing on higher screen resolutions or with shadow settings higher than Low.

If this issue occurs, the most reliable way to prevent it is by downgrading one of the hidden shadow settings:

1) Go to the following directory:
Documents\my games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config
2) Open the XComEngine.ini file. You can make a backup of it, just in case.
3) Find the ShadowTexelsPerPixel setting in the file. It will be located among other settings under the [SystemSettings] header.
4) Change the value of the ShadowTexelsPerPixel setting to 1.000000 and save, then close the file.

After this change, the in-game shadow setting might be displayed as Low, but it's only visual - the rest of the shadow setting parameters will be preserved.
Keep in mind that changing the in-game shadow settings will revert the changes.

COMPATIBILITY:
Should be compatible with anything, including other weather/lighting mods.
Works with LWOTC as well (I play LWOTC myself).
Can be added or removed during campaign. It's best to do that in Avenger, when you're not running a tactical mission. Otherwise, your current level could become dark.

KNOWN ISSUES:
Only rendering issues described above so far.
Feel free to report any feedback/issues.

Extra info: This mod only affects the base game daylight maps. It won't have an effect on other custom maps, such as Aquilio's Weather Pack.

Seeing the clouds roll over the city buildings is really nice. In legacy, it seemed like 90% of the missions were in the cities. In WotC, it seems like it's 10%. Does anyone know how to weight the game towards the 'functional' urban map types?

Really cool to see something like this even years after release.

Lol. I might have to only use this on my PC and not my ally ROG :p Thanks!

It's not as bad as you might think (playing on laptop myself), but I understand the concern :D

Looks very cool, but I can feel this crash my potato computer from 3 weeks into the future. Thumbs up, but unfortunately can't subscribe.

Very impressive, thanks for all the hard work lately! Some of these mods are pretty incredible, we don't get a lot of the broader stuff than voice packs and classes as often.
