Added Alt+Tab and Enter bindings (i personally added on L4 and R4).
Title screen will be black with music playing. Hit your Alt+Tab binding (music will cut out), open the overlay with the STEAM button, select the WWPGame window, then return to the game.
Important!
Steam Deck's Game Mode must be used, otherwise there will be a black box on the top left of your screen. Menus sometimes cannot be interacted with, Enter must be pressed instead. Changing resolution using the dropdown will completely softlock the menu, requiring a game restart.

Do not fiddle with the game's resolution unless you have to, as it will be impossible to set it back to 1280x800 without tweaking registry via protontricks.
