The documentation focuses only on the initial creation process, so it's still up-to-date! To begin making your own mod, you have to start by unpacking the BaseMod in "Documents/My Games/Golden Lap/Mods".

This info is partially outdated. The Mod contents from the workshop show up in :
Steam\Steamapps\workshop\content\some #\Some#
