Avoiding Cheaters
If you've died to a cheater in an encounter, you probably don't want to ever play with them again.

This is great because YOU DON'T HAVE TO.

If you see a cheater in your lobby, LEAVE.

Go to the options menu and press the "Quit Game" button. This will completely shut down your game.

You won't lose any of your gear, and it will not affect your stats.
Reporting Cheaters IN-GAME
Reporting cheaters is the quickest way to get them banned. Finding where to report cheaters in vigor is honestly kind of confusing at first, but it's easy once you figure out that it's hidden in the options menu.

Here is a screenshot of where to find it...

https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2455115325852224867/2B1ED21B240A33DDC379335A49E09F03A83F3FA0/?imw=256&&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

In this menu you simply have to select the player that was cheating and report them, but note that this menu can only be found and used while you are in your home base.

The only problem with this menu is that when you quit a game, the menu won't display any names. This means that if you are playing a shootout or elimination round you will have to wait until the match ends to be able to report a cheater.
Ruining Cheaters Games
Let's be honest. What cheater wants to play by themselves?

If everyone starts leaving their games, they won't get to have any fun.

If everyone starts leaving a match, you probably should too. It probably means that there is a blatant cheater in that lobby, and you just have to re-queue to avoid them.

Cheating is a never-ending struggle for the developers. Let's support and encourage them to fight against cheaters to help vigor be the best version of itself.

im pretty sure cheaters don't cheat because they wanna bother people im pretty sure that they just want resources and they are shit at the game soo easy way out leaving or not it will/won't help the game the developers could just integrate a better anticheat i guess? or just make the game insta crash after something unknown loads in the game with a warning it's possible it's simple anti debug tools im pretty sure

and how do you know if a cheater is in the lobby? Usually you cant tell until they have killed you and you are spectating them. And im pretty sure its too late to save your load out at that point:Corpse:

Where does one find information about the developers actually recognizing this problem? I would like to be supportive and encouraging to them in their fight against cheaters, but it should go in both directions. I don't see them actually caring about this, where are they, do they communicate anything about this? I don't see it. If they are, there should be some pinned messages. There is none at this point.

Yes it was removed, I'd subscribed to the post and just checked now

Did the developers delete your post about cheaters?

You can just press the "Quit Game" button in the options menu, and it will shut the game down completely. When you re-open the game, you will still have your loadout.

How do I exit the lobby? Apart from Alt+F4, I didn't see any possibilities.
