Introduction
What is Crypts, you say? Gather 'round and I'll tell you. Crypts is a player versus enemy experience built on top of the normal gameplay of Chivalry, and the first Horde type map to be included officially in the game.

You have one life per wave, if you die or join a game late you'll have to wait until either all your teammates are dead or all the enemies are dead.

To win, you have to beat wave 25. To lose, all you need to do is die. It's that simple!

As you progress your enemies will become more difficult and your character will become more powerful.

Also, Crypts uses your FFA customisation, you can use any character skin and colour combination you want. It should be noted that colours on the customisation screen for anything but FFA characters will look strange while you're in the map.

Ritual Skulls
There's three skulls placed around the center of the stone circle in the lobby. Once all three have been hit the game will begin.

Class Selection
Along the wall in the Lobby are avatars of each of the classes. You must choose one to recieve your first weapon. Once enemies begin spawning, and after a short delay, gates will come down to close off the class selection and you must finish the wave as the class you have selected - while the gates are up, though, you may freely change your class as often as you wish.

Room Mode Toggle
You will find a big old skull in the Lobby. This may be hit in pre-game or during intermissions to toggle between one room mode or all rooms mode. In one room mode, one of the three rooms will randomly open up at the start of the round. In all rooms mode, the skull's eyes will glow to indicate it's activated and all three rooms will open up at the same time.

Health Fountains
Health fountains are your chance to get free health when you've taken some damage. One fountain can be found in each room. Each time the fountain is used the supply of health is lowered by 100 HP, and each time you kill an enemy there's a 1 in 7 chance that 25HP will be added to the fountain.

Level Up Statues
You can find one of these guys in each room. If you've earned enough points or kills to reach a new level you can activate the statue to level up mid-wave, otherwise you will have to wait until after the wave ends. If you've earned a new character level you will also be healed for free.
The Map
Levelling
In Crypts you unlock weapons by getting kills. You will start out with just your fists until you select a class by interacting with the class selection wall. Your weapons level up based on the number of kills you have, meanwhile your character levels up based on your score. Weapon levels unlock different weapons, character levels upgrade your total health et cetera.

The base Chivalry classes have been replaced with Ranger, Rogue, Warrior, and Paladin.

You recieve your upgraded levels after a wave ends when you spawn back in the lobby. You can also level up mid wave by activating the level up statues, covered later.

Weapons are unlocked at 6, 15, 25, 50, 100, 200, and 350 kills.

is there a way to force class selection on bots? I want to use them as backup but not just have them at going macho fisticuffs.

why in the hell dont Crypts servers compensate for late game players? once you get past wave ten you can guarentee no one will join after that

You can just choose 'create game' on the main menu and look under the 'other' category.

Is there a guide yet for the Hordetown map? I am curious to know things like what is in unlockable areas and what the hell fire arrows do.

I'm pretty sure the gold weapons are obtained at around 200+ kills.
Not sure but I think it may glitch from time to time and not work.
I'd have to pay closer attention to it's behavior to be certain.
