Parasite Identification
*Infected animals will mimic the behavior of the sick animals in the enclosure, but will not test positive for any of the symptoms the sick animals have on the symptom map.*

      `Clear Symptom Map

Sick animals will always display at least one of these symptoms:
Mucus - visible under a UV light
Scarring - visible wounds (large scratches or missing flesh)
Zoochosis - erratic behavior (aggression, panic, squealing, or vomiting)
(Infected animals are more likely to display this)

If an animal shows any of these signs, but their symptom map is clear:
THEY ARE INFECTED WITH THE PARASITE

Curing the Parasite - Medical professional
To cure an infected animal you must have the infected medicine and infected food recipes.
*If you do not have the recipes unlocked, see the "Unlocking Infected Recipes" tab*

Medical professional Achievement
Upon incorrect guess: the infected animal will mutate : risk to the lives of the animals
Not recommended for Penguins or any other highly populated enclosure
Requires:
    4 Vials of Infected Medicine
    1 Infected Meal

DO NOT take any data from the animals unless specified
    1) Feed animals the infected meal
    2) Use blood syringe to collect all blood samples
DO NOT turn in blood samples to the Blood Collector
    3) Collect observable symptoms and make secret diagnosis using only the flashlight
See the "Secret Diagnostic Cheat Sheet" tab
    4) Make the infected medicine using secret diagnosis
    5) Take a guess and shoot a sick animal with the infected medicine
If it vomits out the parasite, great! If a different animal mutates, you'll have to try again.
Yayy you got the achievement! :D

The Meat Way
The infected animal will not mutate: no risk to the lives of the animals
Recommended for Elephants: they become armoured after getting their first shot
Requires:
    1 Vial of Infected Medicine
    1 Infected Meal

You can use the infected meal at any time before Step 5 (even if you do let it mutate)
    1) Feed animals the infected meal
        Alternately: use the normal meal
    2) Collect all the data from the symptom map and make diagnosis
    3) Return to the enclosure with the blood syringe to collect a blood sample
Use the infected meal if you didn't earlier (the infected animal will have mutated)
    4) Make the infected medicine using diagnosis
    5) Shoot the infected animal with the infected medicine
Cured! :D

The Meatless Way
If you're curing an elephant aim for the sides and butt
The infected animal will mutate: risk to the lives of the animals if you aren't quick
Requires:
    3 Vials of Infected Medicine

You can switch to the "Meat Way" at any time before Step 5.
    1) Feed animals
    2) Collect all the data from the symptom map and make diagnosis
    3) Return with the blood syringe to collect a blood sample
    4) Make the infected medicine using diagnosis
(the infected animal will have mutated by now)
    5) Shoot the mutated animal with the infected medicine three times
Cured! :D Hopefully nobody died!
Unlocking Infected Recipes
Infected Medicine
Used to cure an animal of infection
Unlocked by going to CJ's locker in the hub immediately after the first call about his whereabouts
*if you enter an enclosure first, you will have to restart your run to get this recipe type*
    - Requires 1 Blood Sample

Infected Food (opt.)
Extends the time before a mutation or turns mutated animal back for a time
Unlocked after collecting your first parasite sample with the MFE
    - Requires Meat (acquired by grinding the corpses at the hub between each enclosure visit)

Info:
    - The infected medicine is the infected version of the normal medicine, so you need a diagnosis before making it.
    - You CANNOT get a diagnosis and make the infected medicine in one trip.
Unless you use the secret diagnosis - a typical diagnosis requires all blood samples and you will have to make a second trip for more
    - The infected animal will mutate if you shoot any animal or after one visit.
Unless you feed it the Infected food
    - Feeding a mutated animal infected food will allow you to kill or cure them in one shot.
    - Mutated animals will not try to harm you until you shoot them.

Warning: injecting healthy animals with infected medicine will make them sick

Secret Diagnostic Cheat Sheet
The game has a secret method to identify sickness without collecting samples
Useful for the Medical professional achievement and speedruns

Observable Symptoms:
Vomitting - spews out bile onto the floor (creates temporary puddle)
Mucus - visible under a UV light (appears on animal)
Scarring - visible wounds (large scratches or missing flesh)
Zoochosis - erratic movement and sounds (yes different definition this time)
Aggression - hostile towards other animals (attacks others)
Photophobia - sensitivity to light (runs from flashlight)
Panicking - runs from player (shows scared icon)
Exhaustion - falls asleep without being tranquilized (shows sleep timer)

Using these symptoms we can identify the base sickness of any animal
Here's the cheat sheet:

The animals will make like weird honking noises and/or move in ways their joints shouldn't allow.

I'm not sure if the update has changed it, but you should have all the time you want just as long as you don't leave the enclosure, there isn't a timer.

Also , do i have as much time as i want when i first go into the enclosure? As in it wont mutate 100% if i dont shoot anything when i go there the first time right? :re3charlie:

Thanks for the helpful guide!

Ooo I might need to change a few things. But it looks like the main difference will be that the amount of vials needed will vary.

Hi, you have very cool manuals, and I also want to write a manual with all the achievements, but in Russian. Can I take some information from your manuals, especially a cheat sheet about the symptoms of the disease? At the end of my guide, I will, of course, leave links to your two guides. You have become a kind of inspiration for me.
