Silent hill 2 is a demanding game when it comes to performance, many players faced issues with the optimization of the game if its frame drops or stuttering. There are a lot of known fixes that helped other players but some didn't so today i`m making a guide for people with low VRAM GPUs to help make the game run less laggy.

1. Update your graphics card to it latest update.
   
2. Download the FSR 3 Frame generation confing file from here https://www.nexusmods.com/silenthill2/mods/42
   
3. Download the first option that is " FSR 3 Frame generation only"
   
4. After downloading it, move the Engine.ini file to -> appdata -> local -> SilentHill2 -> saved ->config and paste it there.
   
5. After pasting, launch the game.

1) After finishing the earlier part, now comes the most important one. Make sure that FSR 3 is enabled in the settings just like the image below
2) Head to advanced settings and then set textures to LOW because textures takes many vram memory and set SSR to off
feel free to change the others to what you like.

3) Save the settings and then start the game.

In the end i hope this guide helps you to run the game better until we wait for official patches to fix the performance.
