This is my first guide I've written. This information is something I've written down as reference while playing the game and simply wanted to share with anyone looking for somewhere to start. These builds are my preference and opinion. Please play the game to have fun.

Terms:
Short = Refers to companies that use just the front line
Long = Refers to companies that use both front and flanking units

Almost every race has a support caster that can entangle enemy units. You should have at least 1 of these attached to most of your ranged companies in order to finish off routing enemies.

In the beginning of the game, before your main companies are made, attach your Kohan's to your scouts to start gaining exp. Use the detach button later to reattach Kohan's to your better companies.

Almost all long companies can/should be made as short companies when your making your first few after your scouts. This is to conserve resources. If they gain high ranks they can later be used to harass enemy expansions with your scouts. If they don't have ranks disband and replace them.

3.0 Haroun

The Haroun don't utilize their melee infantry typically. Their ranged companies have some of the best entangle supports in the game. Mass archers with Harvesters will stop enemies in their tracks while they die to a rain of arrows. Their siege units can heal anywhere like the Undead units and are a good front line if you like, though expensive.

6.0 Undead

All units in the Undead companies are SHORT companies. Since Undead reinforce anywhere at reduced rate, and their supports are very strong/vital, it is important that the flanked units remain empty to ensure quick reinforcement. If for some reason you're playing a very late game you could disband and add flanks to units WITHOUT ranks. The Undead require you to manually retreat mid fight so that the companies can begin reinforcing themselves to rejoin the ongoing battle.

Short companies with just 1 Lich or Defiler are cheap and should be spammed in the beginning in order to rush down opponents.
