Requirements
NBTExplorer[github.com]: You'll need this to edit your player file.
Find Your Player Save File
Open up NBTExplorer and go to File > Open. Now navigate to your desired modded player file at C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader\Players (the file location may vary based on what drive you installed tModLoader on). The file should be named [Insert Player Name].tlpr.
Finding Mercenary Data
After loading your player file into NBTExplorer, to access the data, expand modData to see the entry folders for each mod that saves player data. Try to find to entry file that contains mod: TF2.
Editing Mercenary Data
Now expand the data folder. It contains several tags corresponding to an in-game statistic or an internal variable. You can select the edit tag value icon (the pencil) at the top and change the value. Make sure to save your save file when you're done!
