Remember the map cs_compound? It was one of the two exclusive maps for Counter-Strike: Source, featuring a warehouse and a lot of empty space around it. The map contained only three hostages, located in a small room behind the main building. This main building served as the terrorist spawn point, providing a strategic view over both pathways to the hostages: through the main gate and along a road cluttered with containers. The setting also included a beautiful sunset reminiscent of Half-Life 2, giving the environment an overall feel more akin to a Half-Life 2 Deathmatch map.

So, do you remember it? No? You're not alone in forgetting it.

Now, the map lies abandoned. The paint has faded, the plaster has crumbled, and nature is reclaiming its territory. Thieves and smugglers have looted almost everything that was left. This once vibrant and secretive place can no longer hold the mysteries it concealed for 20 years.
