Gearing and Squad tips B2BA

Terms:
-Squad Lead: this is the character the player is in control of.
-Squad Point: This the second character in the party and usually sits up front.

Squad roles:
These are just recommendations; characters don’t have to go into these roles, it’s just the roles they are best suited for.

Team lead: your picked leader, should be a character with high mobility, high range is a good side benefit as it zooms out the screen.
-Beo fits the role perfectly, they have a group buff skill, mobility and range enhancements, extra grenades. They have a BR so can make use of grenade launcher attachments.
-Bonnie also fits this role well due to having a group buff skill, mobility and collection enhancements. They have an AR so can make use of grenade launcher attachments.
-Ratty and Isabella can fit this role too. Isabella is good for exploring, Ratty is good for resource gathering. They both use SMGs.
-James can fit the role thanks to high range, mobility and extra backpack slots. Their active skill reduces THE enemies out going damage so they are good for fighting bosses. They use a sniper rifle.

Team point: Your second picked character, These characters should have skills with high defense and high aggro to draw fire away from the rest of the squad.
-Lesser is your shield tank. They have a lot of defense enhancing skills and two skills for buffing a pistol. They have poor damage output, so giving them a high damage secondary like an AR w/GL, machine gun or a shotgun helps recharge the shield when it’s nearing depletion.
-Dail is a health tank. They have high aggro generation due to skills and focus on using a machine gun. They have a pair of shield enhancing skills, the shield should be used for those moments where you’re taking excessive ranged fire and Dail really needs to heal. They bring extra grenades and backpack space.
Honorable mention: Snow is an offtank. They should have a shield and pistol in secondary to take over if the main tank dies. They can fill in as the team point if you don’t wish to use Dail or Lesser, they have pretty high burst damage.

Team wings: Your third and four picked characters. There is a bit of strategy on who to take and it’s largely based on how you wish to execute your play style.
-Pan, despite being the game's Main character they should never be team lead. They bring a RoF self buff, extra backpack slots, squad exp buff. Prefers fighting wilders with bonus damage to elites and bosses. They use an assault rifle so they can bring an GL.
-Rico, They bring a self buff that increases range, control and headshot damage. They prefer fighting wilders, elites and bosses. Give food consumption speed buff. Uses a DMR.
-Beo, works fine as dps or team lead.
-Dail, should really be team point as they out aggro the other two tanks.
-Cong, brings a skill that scares enemies away, nice for CC. They prefer fighting Humals. They bring extra grenades and use a sniper rifle.
-Bagheera, they bring a flashbang, which is good for CC. They use shotguns.
-Isabella, should really be the team lead. They prefer fighting Humals. And buff grenade damage.
-Cate, They bring an artillery skill. They use a sniper rifle. They also buff your fishing and supply drops chances. They ALSO buff the recharge speed of your active skills. Cate is very strong but doesn’t do well in doors.
-Ratty, should really be the team lead.
-Lesser, Demands to be team point.
-James, should really be team lead. Prefer fighting Humals.
-Bonnie, same reasons as Beo, works well as team lead or dps. Prefers fighting Humals and Machines.
-Snow, wants to be team point but doesn’t have the bulk or damage reduction for it. They buff grenade cooldown. Their skill turns the shotgun into a grenade launcher for 15 seconds. They get buffed at night and level up fast. Prefer fighting wilders.
-Boomer, raw damage incarnate. Buff your food buffs. Uses a machine gun. Prefers fighting wilders and Machines.

Some squad themes: These are suggestions, experiment and see what party members work for you.
-Grenade spam: Isabella, Dail, Beo and either Cong for more grenades and CC or Snow for faster grenades and damage.
-GL spam: Beo, Your choice of tank, Pan and Bonnie. GL attachments stack to buff damage and recharge speed.
-Close quarters: Bonnie, Lesser for more tank or Dail for more damage, Bagheera and Snow.
-Snipers: James, Dail or Lesser, Cong and Cate.
-Resource run: Ratty, Dail, either Cong for more food or Beo for more materials and Cate.

Gearing concerns:
Higher is better. However there is a choice in who should get what.
If your party is geared, give spare gear to the characters you intend to use later. So less time is wasted switching characters.

Weapons:
If you find weapons in the field, give them to their preferred user, even if they’re not in your current party.
Otherwise when making weapons, based on your current party, Machine guns>Shotguns/Snipers>DMRs/BRs/ARs>SMGs>Pistols.

Attachments:
-Gives attachments to those with high damage first.
-Squad points should avoid silencers as this will make their job harder.

Headgear:
-Squad leader wants range.
-Squad point wants defense.

Outfit:
-Squad point wants Aggro

Vest:
-Squad point should get better vests first.

Gloves:
-Shotguns and Snipers should get better reload gloves first.

Shoes:
-Squad lead should get better shoes first then squad point gets the next pair.
-Otherwise, always pick status resistance over exp.

Kitbag:
-Squad lead wants mobility.
-Squad Point wants defense.
-Everyone else wants more grenades.

Hope this helps.

Dail is consistently good through the entire Bad 2 Bad series, I picked him in all those games because he if just that great.

Dail is just a surprisingly good party member. His tank is pretty strong with or without shields, he brings grenades and storage. He can use silencer on a pistol fairly easily.
Lesser is better at straight up tanking and higher pistol damage, while Snow has higher damage.

Love how most of your squad themes includes Dail, he's great all around
