Guide to Unique Metamorphosis Requirements and Extinct Beasties
By WackadoodleGrimm
Some Beasties require certain conditions before Metamorphosis, and some can evolve into an extinct form. This guide aims to tell you exactly how to get each Beastie and evolve them! Be wary of MAJOR spoilers towards the end of the guide, as some Beasties and Metamorphs have story related content associated with them. Otherwise, enjoy! (To view the Metamorphs, hover over the black spoiler squares, these are blocked to avoid anyone being spoiled!)

Sprecko

Sprecko is one of two beasties that metamorph into different beasties depending on certain factors. Being one of the two beasties you team up with, you'll have this guy next to you throughout the story (or not, it's your game) and you'll be able to help them metamorph through story missions. Otherwise, Sprecko can be found where Mushroom Colonies are.

Sprecko → Bongus

Interact with the Mushroom colony in the Nature Preserve, requires some story advancement before you can come here.
TIP if you're still having trouble finding this part of the Preserve, maybe hang out with Reese some more!

Sprecko → Surgus

Explore Cerise Atoll and interact with the Mushroom colony. Reese will be there to meet you!

Sprecko → Illugus

Continue the story towards Miconia Grove and interact with the Mushroom colony.

Troglum

found most commonly in Jasper mines.

Troglum → Varkabond

Metamorph by going to Cordia Lake north of Begonia and interacting with the Helmet Bugs

Thank you to LEF in the comments for telling me this!
Seakit

Seakit is found in the north part of Mythwood above Begonia, throw a Shroom Ball near them to get 'em closer to the ground.

Seakit → Vultoxin

Fight and defeat 3 Petula
TIP Petula are bountiful in the chroma sea
Petula

Petula are found early on by sailing in the Chroma Sea.
TIP if you're having trouble with money to pay the boating licence, run around and research beasties (make sure you're sponsored first!)

Petula → Flowish

Fight and defeat 4 other Petula
Punkchirp

Found around Mainframe.

Punkchirp → Magpike

Metamorphs after making 3 relationships
Thank you to LEF in the comments for telling me this!
Jellibat

Found around Mainframe and Geo City.

Jellibat → Froofulks

After reaching level 32 Jellibat will have a yearning to be put into the team reserves. Once placed there check on Jellibat once again, it should have metamorphed
Thank you to LEF in the comments for telling me this!
Humflit
Humflit is found In the Nature Preserve and Mythwood, and is the second split Metamorphosis Beastie. Red and Blue Variants are found in Amberstone, Brown and White/Yellow Variants are found in Garcinia Meadow.

Humflit→ Heliath

Catch and level the Red and Blue color variant to 40.

Humflit→ Lunaptra

Catch and level the Brown and White/Yellow color variant to 40.

Spoilers Ahead
From this point on, the Beasties listed are Spoiler Territory, as these specific Metamorphosis are story/postgame related. These are also significantly harder to achieve and requires a bit of patience/team building.
Platypulse

Morphs from Platenna. Found in the Nature Preserve early on.
Platypulse → Pladion

Boost ALL of Platypulse's DEF Stats to 5 in battle, then let it receive +3 attacks without blocking.
TIP: having a beastie with Call Out helps a lot, go to a low level area, Call Out and raise Platypulse's DEF when you can, free ball to the enemies and continue receiving. Once you're sure you've raised everything and received enough balls, end the battle and receive your Pladion!
Thank you to Razzle Dazzle for the clarification and tip in the comments!
Diggum

Found in the Nature Preserve.

Diggum → Duggout

Raise a Diggum's Spirit POW to 3 and deal 100 or more damage in an attack.
Cherrily

Found in Mythwood, or Metamorph Merrifly.

Cherrily → Mascurry

Raise a Cherrily's Body POW to 6 while their field has Rhythm.
Squimage

Found on islands in the Chroma Sea.

Squimage → Diabloceras

Have a Squimage change it's trait while all of it's DEF stats are 3 or more.
Magpike

Found in Geo City, or Metamorph Punkchirp.

Magpike → Maraptor

Have a Magpike lower it's own stamina to 0 while their POW is raised to 3 or more.
Bongus, Surgus, and Illugus

Cannot be found in the wild, must be Metamorphed from Sprecko.
Bongus → Shloom
Surgus → Shloom
Illugus → Shloom

Shloom is the last Beastie in the dex, and is only accessible after the main story. Take your Metamorphed Sprecko (the specific Metamorph does not matter) and 'commune' with the other mushroom colonies found across the map, the Metamorphed Sprecko should interact with the colonies. Do this with all 3 colonies to Metamorph your very own Shloom!
Last Words
And that's it, every Beastie who doesn't Metamorph through leveling! For a lot of this information I used the Beastiepedia, and I think it'll be helpful to a lot of other people so I'll link it here! here[beastieball.info]

Niche tip that came in helpful for me, if you find a Raremorph Humflit, it will metamorph into Heliath, UNLESS you metamorph it in Alto Alps, then it will transform into its Lunaptra.

I have not tested Magpike's yet, that info came from a the fanmade beastiepedia listed at the end--if you're having more trouble I suggest the beastieball Discord! The creators have an official Discord and I've recieved a lot of help there :)

I've been able to do the Cherrily one once before, it took me I think 2 times? Just get a beastie with Cheer (or some other stat boosting play) then after it's stats are raised set up the rhythm, you do not need to raise the stats while the rhythm is up--Just have it's stats raised to the correct amount when rhythm is up! I suggest doing it in a low level area for ease

I know this is all new but I haven't been able to get the Magpike or Cherrily metamorphs from using the listed methods. The Cherrily one might be especially hard cuz it's difficult to raise power enough times before rhythm runs out.

Also Punkchirp -> Magpike is it forming three relationships. Jellibat -> Froofulks is fulfilling its yearning to put it into reserves (once you do this, checking reserves will show that it metamorphed). Unknown what triggers the yearning, if not just spending a while on your team.

Troglum also has a special metamorph method. You have to go to the big island in the middle of Cordia Lake in Mythwood. There is a Rowdy Varkabond (the evolution) you have to defeat first. Then you can just interact with one of the helmet bug thingies to trigger the metamorph.

Each beastie has it's own requirement to tame them, if you've played up until you meet Reese and unlock research+beastiepedia, you can look in it to see each beastie and it's requirements for taming. It may be something like "move your beasties on the court 3+ times", once you do that you'll see a mini "cutscene" that'll show you've completed it's requirement. Usually you need to completely finish a beasties research before knowing it's requirement to join your team. Also make sure you have a jersey on hand!

How can I tame beasties? I'm still not clear on how to tame them.

Found it!! Thank you!!

Duggout is only 2 rooms away from the rowdy Bongus room, the picture for Sprecko's first Metamorph actually shows the room you need! Go to the room with a small lake, there should be a ledge you can hop on--happy hunting!
