Clincher

Clincher
100 enemies shot in the head. Not bad for a head start…

Quest: None required; tracks progress across gameplay.

Steps to Unlock:
  1. Engage in combat with human enemies (bandits, mercenaries, Monolith fighters).
  2. Use precision weapons like the Vintar BC or Dragunov Sniper Rifle to aim for the head.
  3. Focus on one-shot kills for efficiency. Sniper weapons and crouching for steady aim are your best bets.
  4. Farm human enemies in locations with frequent respawns (see Best Farming Locations below).
  5. Track your progress in the achievement menu to ensure kills are counting properly.
Tips:
  • Always aim for isolated enemies or small groups to avoid distractions.
  • If you’re struggling to aim manually, consider adjusting your sensitivity or scope settings.
  • Use consumables or artifacts that stabilize your aim or reduce recoil.
  • Avoid shooting through obstacles unless the shot is guaranteed; headshots may not count.
Best Farming Locations:
  1. Army Warehouses: High-density Monolith patrols with respawns.
  2. Rostok Bar Entrance: Bandit ambushes frequently occur here, offering continuous headshot opportunities.
  3. Zaton Shipwreck: A good sniping position combined with bandit spawns makes this ideal for farming.
Potential Bugs:
  • Environmental kills (e.g., explosions or barrels) often do not count as headshots. Stick to firearm kills.
  • Certain headshots on heavily armored enemies may not register, especially without armor-piercing rounds.
Goodnight

Goodnight

Steps:

  2. Execute Covert Kills: Use a knife to perform stealth kills. Sneak up behind an unsuspecting enemy and press RMB (default) to take them down silently.
  3. Avoid Detection: Make sure the surrounding area is clear of other enemies to prevent raising an alarm after your kill.
  4. Repeat: Accumulate 20 successful stealth kills to unlock the achievement. Focus on isolated targets in camps or during missions with patrolling NPCs.

  • Target lone enemies to avoid unnecessary confrontations.

The good, the bad and the ugly

The good, the bad and the ugly
5 headshots in 10 seconds. Good eye.

Quest: Quick Draw

Steps: Unlock this achievement by scoring 5 headshots in 10 seconds. The key here is speed and accuracy. Find a spot where multiple enemies are grouped together and execute your shots swiftly.

Tips: It's best to perform this during a firefight where multiple enemies are clustered together. Using a sniper rifle or any high-accuracy weapon will help you line up the shots faster. Practice makes perfect, so keep trying until you pull it off.
No obstacle too big…

No obstacle too big…
Kill 50 enemies through obstacles. No one in the Zone is really safe.

Quest: Breakthrough
Location: Various Locations

Steps: This achievement is unlocked by killing 50 enemies through environmental obstacles like walls, fences, or containers. Use explosive weapons or high-velocity rounds to kill enemies hiding behind cover.

Tips: Frag grenades, grenade launchers, and certain weapons like the Vintar are perfect for this. If you find a group of enemies behind cover, throw a grenade or fire through a thin wall to eliminate them. Keep a count of your kills to track progress.
BOOM!
BOOM!
20 enemies killed by blowing up the surroundings. Save on hand grenades and enjoy the fireworks.

Type: Environmental kills.

Steps to Unlock:
  1. To unlock this achievement, you’ll need to cause explosions to kill 20 enemies. This is best achieved by using explosive barrels and environmental traps.
  2. One of the best locations for this is the bridge northeast of Azimuth Station in the Wild Island region. Here you’ll find red barrels placed near a pack of dogs.
  3. Aggravate the pack of dogs and try to kill as many as possible by shooting the barrels to trigger explosions.
  4. Save your progress just before you approach the barrels, and reload the game to repeat the process as needed. Do this 3-4 times to reach 20 kills.
Tips:
  • Look for clusters of enemies around explosive objects, such as barrels or tanks. A well-placed shot can set off chain reactions and take down multiple enemies.
  • Rodents, dogs, and other enemies are prime targets for this method due to their tendency to group near explosive materials.
  • Save before triggering explosions so you can easily retry if the kill count isn’t met or if an enemy survives the blast.

Catching up

Catching up
Shoot an incoming grenade to make it explode. Nice view!

Quest: Timing is Everything
Location: Various Locations

Steps: Unlock this achievement by shooting an incoming grenade before it explodes. The key here is timing. You'll need to shoot the grenade in mid-air, just as it is thrown toward you.

Tips: You can accomplish this by throwing a grenade yourself and shooting it mid-air. Using an automatic weapon or a shotgun is recommended, as their high rate of fire or spread increases your chances of successfully hitting the grenade. Stay patient and practice to perfect your timing.
Wiped out

Wiped Out
Kill a Rodent using a grenade launcher. A good wipe-out makes the Duty proud.

Quest: Mutant extermination challenge.

Steps to Unlock:
  1. Find an RPG at Wild Island base, which becomes accessible after the Monolith outbreak begins following the events in SIRCAA. Alternatively, equip a suitable weapon with a grenade launcher modification.
  2. Look for Rodents - mutant creatures - common in the Zaton area, particularly at the northern end of Electro-Tunnel west of the railway bridge in Cordon.
  3. Fire your grenade launcher at the Rodents or near their cluster. Aim at the ground or areas where they typically group together to maximize damage and successfully wipe them out.
Tips:
  • The RPG is a guaranteed method, but a grenade launcher mod on any compatible weapon works just as effectively.
  • Rodents are slow-moving, making it easy to line up a shot.
  • Save before entering areas where Rodents spawn to ensure you get the achievement without risk of being overwhelmed.
Can opener

Can opener
Use a knife to kill an enemy wearing an exoskeleton. Epic battle indeed.

Quest: Close Quarters Combat
Location: Zaton

Steps: To unlock this achievement, kill an enemy wearing an exoskeleton using only a knife. Exoskeletons are powerful armors, so you will need to get up close and personal for this one.

Tips: The best way to achieve this is by sneaking up on enemies wearing exoskeletons and using a melee attack. Use the environment to your advantage, staying out of sight until you are close enough to strike. Consider weakening the enemy with a firearm first if you need to reduce their health.
Peace and quiet

Peace and quiet
Kill everyone in the camp before the alarm is set off. They couldn't see it coming!

Quest: Silent Assault
Location: Various Camps

Steps: This achievement is unlocked by stealthily killing every enemy in a camp before the alarm is triggered. It's all about taking out enemies quietly without alerting the rest of the camp.

Tips: Use silenced weapons or melee attacks to eliminate enemies quietly. You may need to take out sentries and guards without raising an alarm, so use stealth to your advantage. Pay attention to enemy patrols and plan your approach carefully.
Proxy
Proxy
Kill a squad that just finished off another squad and won the fight. Or so they thought…

Quest: Revenge
Location: Various Locations

Steps: Unlock this achievement by killing a squad that has just wiped out another. This can be done by waiting for an NPC squad to engage in a fight and then intervening once they've finished off their targets.

Tips: Find NPC factions that are engaged in firefights and let them fight each other. Once one side has won, finish off the remaining survivors to unlock the achievement. Be patient and stay in a safe position while waiting for the right moment to strike.
Apple-shot⚠️

Apple-shot⚠️
Take out three apples with perfect shots to impress the bandits and earn your prize.

Quest: Bullseye
Location: Zaton (Shevchenko)

Steps: This achievement is unlocked during the Bullseye side mission, which you can get from Beard at Shevchenko in the Zaton region. When you reach the bandit camp, don’t engage in combat or pay the ransom. Instead, accept the challenge to participate in their twisted game.
Your task is to shoot three apples in quick succession to complete the challenge and unlock the achievement.

Tips: Timing is crucial, so make sure to aim carefully and hit the apples in rapid succession. It’s important not to disrupt the game by shooting the bandits or paying the ransom. This is a rare achievement where you can avoid conflict while still making progress, so enjoy the challenge!

☢️EXPLORATION ACHIEVEMENTS (9)
Exploration Achievements in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl focus on rewarding players for uncovering hidden locations and artifacts throughout the Zone. These achievements encourage players to explore off the main paths, discovering lore, secret areas, and valuable items while dealing with environmental dangers and hostile creatures. Being thorough and observant is key to unlocking these rewards.
The four winds

The Four Winds

Steps:
  1. Explore Thoroughly: Travel across major regions such as Garbage, Zaton, and Swamps. Both main paths and hidden routes must be uncovered.
  2. Scout Anomalies: Investigate unique zones, anomalies, and secluded structures to reveal map sections.
  3. Side Missions: Completing side quests can lead to new areas naturally.
  4. Use Maps or Markers: Traders and NPCs may offer maps or tips for hidden spots. Always check with them.
Tips:
  • Use your PDA to track unexplored areas.
  • Check interactive resources like this map[mapgenie.io]for guidance.
  • Some areas unlock only after specific story missions or gaining access to restricted zones.
Miracle hoarder

Miracle hoarder
Collect all artifacts. What about arch-artifacts?

Steps: To unlock this achievement, you must find and collect all 75 types of artifacts scattered throughout the Zone. Artifacts are essential for progression and are found within dangerous anomaly fields. Each artifact has unique properties, and some may require specific tools or techniques to harvest safely.

How to Get Artifacts (can be obtained in four ways):
  • Scanning Anomalies: Use your artifact scanner on certain anomalies (marked on the map) to spawn a random artifact of the same elemental type. These anomalies respawn after a while.
  • Looting Static Locations: Sometimes, artifacts are found in the open and can be picked up using your scanner.
  • Purchasing from Traders: Some traders, especially bartenders, will sell a few artifacts.
  • Mission Rewards: Certain missions or side quests may reward you with an artifact or lead you to one along the way.
How to Increase Artifact Slots on Your Armor:

There are two ways to increase artifact slots on your armor in STALKER 2:
  • Upgrade your armor at a Technician.
  • Equip a new set of armor.
Upgrading armor is costly, so consider whether it's worth upgrading your current armor or simply getting a new set.

How to Get a Better Artifact Detector:

You can improve your artifact detector by:
  • Purchasing it from merchants.
  • Looting it from stashes.
  • Receiving it as a mission reward.
  1. You can acquire a Hilka Detector early in the game by completing the "Budmo"
side mission in Garbage, which requires stealing it from a stash.
  2. The Bear Detector, which is much better, is obtained through the side mission "A Sign of Hope", which you can access after progressing in the story and meeting Professor Lodochka on Noontide's Island.
  3. Later in the game, you can unlock the Veles Detector as a reward for completing an optional objective in the "In Search of Past Glory" main story mission.

Curiouser and curiouser!
Curiouser and curiouser!
Collect all arch-artifacts. A priceless collection, arguably too weird, even by Zone standards.

Arch-Artifacts are unique, one-of-a-kind artifacts found exclusively in arch-anomalies. These anomalies are marked by a whirl icon on the map when you approach, but detectors won’t detect these artifacts. You will need to locate the exact position manually. The detailed information regarding the locations and characteristics of these arch-artifacts is provided above.

These arch-artifacts are:
Weird Ball, Weird Water, Weird Nut, Weird Flower, Weird Bolt, Weird Pot

Between the Lines

Between the Lines
The "Best reader" award. And reward.

Type: Exploration & Lore.

Steps to Unlock:
  1. To unlock this achievement, you must gather and interpret scattered pieces of information throughout the Zone. These pieces are typically found as notes, messages, or hidden files that provide deeper context to the game's narrative.
  2. As you explore, look for hidden messages in various locations - buildings, rubble, and sometimes even on NPCs' bodies.
  3. Pay particular attention to messages tied to key story points. Some of these clues are subtle and may require careful reading or interpretation.
  4. Ensure you revisit areas after key events, as new clues may appear in previously explored locations.
Tips:
  • PDAs, notes, and hidden files can all contribute to the achievement. They contain important lore that ties into the overarching story.
  • Periodically return to locations to check for new clues or messages, especially after completing key objectives.
  • Interact with every NPC you encounter - some will provide valuable information or lead you to hidden clues.
  • Thorough exploration and attention to detail are crucial. Carefully reading all available text will help you uncover the "lines" between the events.
  • PDAs and notes are marked on the interactive map[mapgenie.io], which will help you locate these hidden items efficiently.
Stalker’s Note about the Zone
You were right, you know. F*ck the Zone. I was the first here, and now I’m the only one left standing. I drank to your memory. Here comes the Emission, damn it all. My loot, my PDA, everything.
Stalker’s Note about Friendship
Already into day two, and it’s still radio silence. Who’s gonna read this, anyway? Unless someone finds me here somehow. I had three buddies, but when push came to shove, they were gone. Friendship ain’t got no place here. Nor do decent folks. Just as*holes.
Stalker’s Note about a Successful Run
Ha! You hear me, you swampy piece of sh*t? I said my third run would be a hit! And you were like, “What the hell are you thinking?” Yeah, I’ve only got grub for two days, and some as*hole cleaned out my stash, but I’ve scored enough loot to stock three stashes this size.
Stalker’s Note about Bloodsuckers
Four freaking days I’ve been stuck here, and those bloodsuckers won’t piss off. And you still won’t show up, will you, you piece of sh*t? Think you can take my loot, Mole? Screw you! I’ve got six spare mags – enough to deal with all of you!
Note about Dogs
Okay, Needle. You called it. It’s been five days now, and those damn dogs are still on my tail. I look around and nobody’s there, but I swear, out the corner of my eye, I see three dogs every damn time. Guess it’s time to lay off the vodka.
Note about Boars
Damn it, Rotgut, I’m stranded up on the tower. Boars got me cornered, ammo’s gone, and the signal’s crap. Get over here and lend a hand. Maybe they’ll clear out by morning – I’m stuck here for the night either way. One sheep, two sheep…
Note about Debts
Harry, you’ve got seven f*cking days to settle your debt. Think fast, or prepare for what’s coming. We’re not known for giving second chances.
Note about Artifacts
I’ve had enough of your life lessons. I didn’t leave the Mainland for this. I brought back eight artifacts from my last run, just ask the guys! The Zone’s taught me one thing: even when you’re knee-deep in sh*t, there are always two ways out.

  3. Spare Docente

  4. Receive the Stash Coordinates
After sparing Docente, he will reward you with the coordinates to a hidden stash.

  5. Retrieve the Unique Weapon

Zone's Deadliest Predator

Zone's Deadliest Predator
Hunt down and eliminate the most dangerous predators in the Zone.

Quest: The Ultimate Hunt
Location: Varies (different predators in different regions)

Steps: This achievement is unlocked by killing each of the deadliest predators in the Zone. The predators include:
  • Rodent
  • Bayun
  • Blind Dog
  • Pseudodog
  • Pseudogiant
  • Flesh
  • Boar
  • Chimera
  • Bloodsucker
  • Snork
  • Controller
  • Burer
  • Zombie
You must defeat one of each type across the Zone to unlock the achievement.

Tips: Each predator has its own attack style and weakness. Rodents and Pseudodogs are more common in the early game and can be taken down with basic firearms. However, creatures like Chimeras, Bloodsuckers, Snorks, and Controllers require more advanced tactics. They often appear in areas with dangerous terrain, so be ready for ambushes.

For example:

Rodents and Bayuns are often found in open, grassy areas, so you can easily use explosives or high-rate weapons to clear them.
Chimeras are fast and deadly, requiring a good balance of firepower and mobility. It's best to use sniper rifles or high-damage weapons from a distance.
Controllers have psychic abilities, so be sure to keep your distance and focus on taking them down quickly before they can disrupt your strategy.
Plan your approach and use appropriate weapons, as some of these creatures can quickly overwhelm you if you're not prepared.

  • The Icarus Base can be identified by its proximity to Zaton's main riverbank.
  • Test different crate arrangements to ensure you can reach the parts from the window.
  • Save your game before interacting with the window in case of any mistakes.

  1. Obtain a piece of equipment or weapon that can be enhanced.
  2. Visit a technician in the Zone, such as the one at Skadovsk or Rostok.
  3. Pay the required amount of coupons to enhance your gear.
  4. Make sure you are enhancing a weapon or piece of equipment with a tangible upgrade (e.g., better durability, improved stats).
  5. Once you have successfully enhanced the equipment, the achievement will unlock.
Tips:
  • Start with an easily available and affordable item to enhance, such as a basic weapon or armor.
  • Ensure you have the necessary resources (coupons, materials) before heading to the technician.
  • Enhance early-game equipment for a smoother progression without worrying about expensive upgrades later.
Best Farming Locations:
  1. Skadovsk: A trader with regular access to enhancements for basic gear.
  2. Rostok: Another location with a technician who can upgrade your equipment and weapons.
Taking it for Granted

Taking it for Granted
Gear broken beyond repair. Don't forget to pay regular visits to the technician.

Quest: None required; tracks progress across gameplay.

Steps to Unlock:
  1. Locate a weapon or armor piece in poor condition (preferably below 30% durability).
  2. For weapons, use approximately 350–400 rounds to deplete durability completely. Assault rifles such as an AK-74 with 25–30% durability are ideal.
  3. Loot defeated enemies during gameplay for firearms in poor condition to minimize resource costs.
  4. If opting for armor, enter an anomaly zone and take damage while wearing a low-durability suit. Heal yourself and repeat until the suit is fully destroyed.
  5. The achievement will pop as soon as the item reaches 0% durability.
Tips:
  • Before starting, quicksave to avoid wasting resources if progress is interrupted.
  • For weapons, avoid prolonged bursts; consistent single shots help manage recoil and maximize control.
  • Armor farming is most efficient near low-damage anomalies, such as the Fruit Punch.
  • Always carry sufficient healing items if farming durability through armor degradation.

Run, stalker, run!
That Chimera made you run like an Olympic champion!

Quest: Weird Science

Lockpick

Lockpick
Lure a mutant into an anomaly. Hardly a noble deed, but it gets the job done.

Quest: None required; tracks progress during gameplay.

Steps to Unlock:
  1. The goal is to lure a mutant into an anomaly. Mutants such as Pseudogiants or Flesh are the best candidates for this achievement.
  2. First, find a mutant you can engage, either by drawing its attention or waiting for it to wander into the open.
  3. Identify a nearby anomaly that the mutant will be drawn toward—common anomalies like Whirlgigs or Vortexes work well.
  4. Move the mutant into the anomaly's radius by either using gunfire to provoke them or simply running toward the anomaly yourself.
  5. As the mutant steps into the anomaly’s area, it will trigger the achievement.
  6. The achievement will pop immediately after the mutant is caught in the anomaly's effect.
Tips:
  • Mutants such as Pseudogiants are best lured by shooting them from a distance, then leading them toward an anomaly.
  • Avoid too much distance between you and the mutant, as they can lose interest and wander away.
  • Some mutants can be drawn into anomalies more effectively if you use environmental hazards or distractions.
  • Use the map to identify anomaly locations, especially near mutant spawns for easier access to both.
Best Farming Locations:
  1. Army Warehouses: Known for high mutant activity, including Pseudogiants and other dangerous creatures. Multiple anomalies are spread across the area, making it easy to complete the achievement here.
  2. Jupiter Factory: This area features many anomalies and mutant spawns, providing a good spot to farm this achievement while engaging with various mutants.
  3. Cordon: A great starting zone for mutants like Flesh, which are easier to deal with and can be led into anomalies more effectively.
Bouncy

Bouncy
A successful jump from a 30-meter height. No parachute, though.

Steps to Unlock:
  1. Go to the Agroprom location and find the tower near the levitating rocks anomaly.
  2. Jump from the tower into one of the bouncy anomalies at the bottom to survive the fall.
  3. If the achievement doesn’t pop, save at the top and retry the jump.
Tips:
  • The "bouncy anomalies" at the base of certain towers are essential for survival. Without them, you won’t make it.
  • Use in-game landmarks to identify a 30-meter height and safe landing zones.
  • Save your game before jumping for quick retries.

Tit for tat
Tit for Tat
Sidorovich's worst nightmare: buy and sell goods for the exact same amount of coupons in one deal.

Quest: None required; tracks progress across gameplay.

Steps to Unlock:
  1. Go to a trader or merchant in the Zone.
  2. Buy an item from them, then sell it back for the exact same price.
  3. Ensure you don't make a profit or loss; the exchange should be a one-to-one coupon transaction.
  4. This achievement can be completed anytime during your playthrough, as long as you have access to a trader and enough coupons to make a deal.
Tips:
  • Focus on items with clear and fixed prices, such as common ammunition or basic supplies.
  • Avoid adding any additional items to the trade, which could affect the price balance.
  • Ensure you are in a location with access to traders, such as Rostok or Skadovsk, where you can regularly find items for sale.
Best Farming Locations:
  1. Rostok: The traders here are reliable for purchasing and selling items with fixed prices.
  2. Skadovsk: Traders here can also offer stable pricing for common goods, making this a good location for this achievement.

Your right that's the same location I got the good ,bad and the ugly. They surprised me to, shot them and the achievement popped.

The good, the bad and the ugly : There is a scientific bunker on the extreme west of the map a little south of the red forest, there is a controller mutant outside the bunker and once you have killed it you have to start three generators to open the door of the bunker.

I've been in this bunker in two different saves and each time the game spawned a group of zombie soldiers on the same exact spot. Like 5 or 6 soldiers with no helmets on the exact same spot, the first time it surprised me and i just aimed at head level with my submachine gun and got the achieve.

this game is still in beta :skull_tos:

I think it was bugged for me because I sold and bought an even amount to where it was 0 several times and it wouldn't activate.

What I ended up doing was quicksaving right next to the trader and if it didn't work I would reload the save as an extra step rather than just continue to try to sell to him. It ended up popping for me after 8 or 9 tries.

Jegedillo - I’ve added a video that might help with unlocking the achievement. I’m sure you’ve probably figured it out by now, but just in case, try loading a save from your game -it should help you resolve the issue.

How the hell do you get the Tit for Tat achievement to activate? I've zeroed out my transaction probably 5-6 times during my playthrough and it never seems to work.
