A mystery virus has been in the news recently in Valmont City, The government hasn't released any public statements or new information but that the virus can "adapt" from form to form to survive, it can be spread through the air, it can be spread through open wounds, and it can be spread through contaminated water sources.

This military checkpoint has been put in place in Downtown Valmont on 5th and Main. Personnel donned in hazmat and marines in gas masks have been deployed to checkpoints to combat the virus and test for a live strand of the virus and the range of the spread. Currently the virus has only been found to have contaminated small predatory animals like dogs and cats. Yet it has been documented that humans have had the virus and it has had detrimental psychological effects on the victims, causing the victim to enter a state of frenzy, an almost caveman like state of mind. The victim's main problems become hunger and thirst and will do anything to satiate it.




Hospitals are starting to see an influx in bite and physical attack related injuries from both humans and animals, and some hospitals also report cases of the virus itself. The virus has yet to be given an official name by government authorities but some conspiracy theorists and doom preppers call it the end. The military has set up temporary first aid and accomodation at some checkpoints for those affected.
