The lobby system that Tasofro/Twilight Frontier gave us has been shut down since 2019 and since then, many people have been using the only method to play online with other players, directly connecting to them. This mod aims to bring back the lobby system that Tasofro shut down with all tools being open source!

The mod isn't only going to bring back the Lobby system either, it's an all in one package that includes the Netplay Patch (an improved netcode experience, NO ROLLBACK YET), the ability to host and connect without using 3rd party software (like proxypunch, radmin, zero tier or VPN's) and quality of life improvements too! Once you've download the latest release, make sure that your game's folder is in your anti-virus' exclusion list https://youtu.be/ti7egEZDPL8
as these files WILL be detected as viruses, which they are NOT. The main reason they are suspected to be a virus is because of the .DLL, but that's ACTUALLY what you need to be able to use this mod.

Once you've downloaded and unzipped the files into your game's folder, open th155r.exe and you'll be greeted by Windows asking if you want to open this file, just click "More Info" and then "Run anyway" and the game will run like normal. (with a brief command prompt showing up, don't worry)
Go to Network and you'll see the Lobby Status Online now. The first 3 options are for the Lobby System, so you can host or connect to someone that is hosting (see the Users: ?, that's how many people are searching in that lobby) in the 3 default lobbies

• Free
  
• Novice
  
• Veteran

If you'd like to connect directly, you can go to the middle section and decide whether you or your opponent/friend/significant other host and choose that option. Follow these steps if you are the host:

• Select "wait incomming" and press the C key Only! to copy the IP and Port onto your clipboard.
  
• Send that to your opponent and once they paste the IP, they'll connect to you (Host is always Player 1)

Follow these steps if you are connecting:
English
Japanese

• Once you obtain the IP:Port (in that format), you can paste the IP only pressing the C key on your keyboard
  
• Once the IP has been pasted, just press Z (to accept) and you'll connect to your opponent

if you want steam to track your gaming time (or use steam's overlay), you can the launch file following these steps:

• Go to "Properties" with either right clicking or going to the gear icon on the right
  
  
• Go to "Installed Files" and click on "Browse" (note: I installed this game externally, so path will differ)
  
  
  
• Click above and get the path and copy that
  
  
• Go back to General in the launcher, put 2 quotation marks ("") and in between that, put your path and with \th155r.exe at the end. To finish it, add a space and %command% and you are set! Should look like the below (again, path differs on where you installed it)
  

Once you're done setting it up, feel free to play game with friends, partners or with strangers!
