The Fall of Constantinople - GIGACHAD Legends

Description
Welcome to the Second Entry in the GIGACHAD Legends mod series.

This is The Fall of Constantinople, which is centred on the Muslim Conquest of Constantinople.

Although this mod falls under the GIGACHAD Legends series, it actually only features one new legend. Instead, it focuses in one the process of obtaining that legend, and the rewards for that legend.

This mod adds the decision "The Fall of Constantinople" to the game for Muslim rulers. They can enact this decision if they own Constantinople, and have converted a significant portion of the de-jure Byzantine, or de-jure Latin Empire to their faith. Determining what to do with the city is of critical importance to a realm that has taken over the city, and therefore you are given 4 different ways to deal with Constantinople:

You can renovate the city, and bring the Christians of Byzantium closer to you. If you choose to renovate the city, you'll be missing out on the immense wealth from sacking the city, but you'll make the Caliph of whatever Islam you follow the new head of faith for whatever Christian faiths are most dominant in the Byzantine Empire (Catholicism excluded, unless the Byzantine Empire holds a majority of the Catholic counties in the world in its de-jure borders.

You can sack the city, and gain immense wealth, but a cursed lineage that will always be hated by Christians, and the total loss of Constantinople itself, as it is converted to a tribal holding, and loses its special buildings.

You can move your capital to Constantinople, and make it the new capital of your empire. You need an empire-tier title to do this option, and it will see you integrating the Byzantine kingdoms into your empire, while settling and colonizing its provinces with your culture and faith.

Finally, you can embrace Constantinople, which involves you choosing to take on the mantle of Roman Emperor in more than just name. You'll convert to the culture and faith of Constantinople, and become the Basileus of the Byzantine Empire. You'll bring a new, fresh perspective to the Greek world with your foreign knowledge, and rule as a conqueror-turned-saviour of the Byzantine world.

Regardless of how you choose to deal with Byzantium, you'll gain a legend seed for a unique legend which tells the tale of your conquest of Constantinople, and which will unlock some cool new interactions for you, such as the ability to destroy buildings in holdings that you siege.

That's the mod!

For those wondering about my promised GIGACHAD Languages mod by the way, that mod has, after several iterations, entirely evolved into a new project of significantly larger scope. It'll take a while until that comes out, but rest assured it's not dead! It's just evolving!

I hope you enjoy this Constantinople mod in the mean time, to whet your appetite for GIGACHAD mods. I made this mod in like, 3 days, and I'm thinking to make more mini-mods like these. It's pretty fun.

Anyway, thanks for letting me yap. Enjoy the mod.

As far as DLC requirements go, I believe you only will need Legends of the Dead, since there are legends in this mod, but beyond that, I have only tested it using all DLCs, so no guarantees.

I don't modify any base game files in this mod, so it should be compatible with any mod, unless it messes with Constantinople's or the Byzantine Empire's entries in the landed titles folder, since some of the content is directly tied to the county and the barony of Constantinople, and the Byzantine Empire.

Patch 1.0 - First patch of the mod. Introduced a new decision with 4 outcomes, and a new legend, all of which are centred on the Muslim world, and the fall of Constantinople.

I said the same thing, over and over again.

Making the Caliph the head of Christianity doesn't make any sense. Making whatever Islamic faith the ruler has become Ecumenical (to represent religious exchange) with a modifier that slows down conversion between the two religions would make more sense for this decision.
Christians would never recognise a Caliph as their religious leader. How Christians were legitimised under Caliphal authority was by defining them as Dhimmi's & getting them to pay the Jizya tax.

Has anyone made a version of this mod so that people of other non-Christian faiths can use it? I'm playing as a Reformed Asatru, and I would love to be able to use this mod, please.

Disgusting.

it seems these options are all fictional with no relation to what happened IRL - and anything relating to the conquest hadith is curiously missing

@Routevenus

Have you played OP's Persian Mod? You cannot call it anything less than "Giga-Chad." It's that good.
