The Prop Arena

Welcome to the Prop Arena, a game that uses the best of Source’s technology for the worst of purposes. Use the iconic Gravity Gun to fling around props to crush, impale and explode up to eight of your friends!

Choose from different game settings to customize your battle, such as enabling the SUPER GRAVITY GUN and increasing the amount of explosive barrels that rain hell from above.

This game currently features one arena (designed for 2-8 players but theoretically there’s no limit) and a looping playlist of eight of the Half Life series’ most thumping tracks, with more arenas and songs coming soon.

You’ll find the map as gm_prop_arena in the Sandbox category. When you start, you’ll spawn into a small room – to the right is the rule control panel, and in the centre is the map selection. I recommend waiting until all friends have joined the game before selecting the map, so everyone can join in for the reveal.

Once the first person has gone through the portal, the map and rule selections will be disabled. The best way to reset the game is just for the host go to the map menu and launch a new game from there.

• First two players will spawn in the same position. Not a huge issue; if you happen to spawn inside each other, just quickly noclip away from each other to separate.
  
• Players may spawn inside props. This occurs if a prop has been moved to sit on a teleport point. You can usually pickup/push the props away, or if need be, noclip out.
