Description
Play as Sister Miriam Godwinson, leader of the Lord's Believers, from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.

Trait
Starts the game with a free affinity level. Automatically earn 25% progress to affinity levels.
For the first 15 turns of the game, the sponsor generates +50% production, +50% food, and -100% science
-2 science from trade routes.

The Faction focuses strength of infrastructure and belief to compensate for a lagging science ability

History
_________________________
initial upload (v1):
- The Lord's Believers start with free affinity.
- They earn 25% of the progress towards an affinity level automtically, meaning they require 75% less EXP to earn affinity levels.
- Upon landing on the planet, they will strive to rebuild Canaan, halting scientific progress for 15 turns (at standard speed) in favor of growth and infrastructure.
- The Believers suffer from -2 science from the trade routes they form with other sponsors and stations.
_________________________
update (v2):
- New civilopedia entries for faction and leader
- Leaderscene more specific to the faction
- New loading intros including one from the excellent "Journey to Centauri" by Mike Ely and "GURPS Alpha Centauri" supplement by Jon F. Zeigler
_________________________
update (v3):
- Civilopedia no longer displays dummy entries such as trait buildings
- Re-added missing art assets
_________________________
update (v4):
- AI now takes advantage of affinity bonus
_________________________
update (v5):
- Updated to winter patch
_________________________
update (v6):
- Early Game Trait nows scales with science speed modifier rather than growth speed modifier
- Added support for Social Engineering
_________________________
Planned future changes:
- Implement trait as an invisible building rather than the current, very visible building.
- Implement a message or popup to announce the end of rebuilding.
- Balance changes as more factions are developed and feedback is received.

Known Issues

There's a serious issue that affects many sponsor mods with custom leaderscenes. The mods can cause the game to crash to desktop when used in conjunction with the default civs. A current fix is to play the game with the leaderscenes set to minimum. In the meantime, modders are investigating a proper fix. You can do your part by notifying Firaxis of this widespread issue.

Rereading the comments is a good lesson on how anonymity unmasks bigotry.

That very strange. I'll look into it, but I have never had an issue with this since the mod's release. In the meantime, you could try to start a new game and see if it's an issue with the one game, or you can try and update the lua log file and share it with me. It would be very helpful for me to see what might be happening.

What is the turn count on your game and what other mods do you have? The yield modifiers only last for the first 15 turns.

Also sorry I missed your other message. Happy new year!

-100% science is funny as hell! I love it!

Why would you do this, OP? You're bringing back the parasite of Planet!
