Through my experience, this should be the ABSOLUTE MUST-FOLLOW guide for anyone booting the undefinitive Mafia III for the first time. I loved the basic gameplay loop and story, so thought the guide should be worth my time. Not only this will help you, it'll also smoothen my journey if I decide to revisit the game in future.

1. Go to NVIDIA Control Panel
   
2. Manage 3D settings => Program settings => Choose Mafia 3(click Add and select Mafia 3 exe if not on list)
   
3. Set the highlighted following:
   *Under Image Scaling, Sharpen 50%
   
4. Open game, set in-game graphics setting:
   
   • Anti-aliasing: Low

What about the method of removing AA Blur by modifying exe? Well, it adds a lot of shimmering (non AA related), so its best to ignore.

OPTIONAL: I have made a seperate lite SMAA reshade mod if you need. It's not required though. Press Home in-game to activate after pasting these files in the game directory. Download[drive.google.com]

1. If you want more raw FPS, go to Graphics setting in-game, Set:
   
   • FPS: 60
     
   • Refection: Low
     
   • Volumentric: Low
     Note: Your graphics will suffer, especially reflection. You may want to turn it up.
2. Enable High Refresh Rate with this mod: Download[github.com].
   Just paste dxgi.dll inside game directory (Steam > Mafia 3 - right click > Manage > Browse local files)
   
3. If you are getting good FPS but game still stutters, just let it run for sometime.

1. Here you have 2 options. Choose 1. Try both options, or choose per your liking.
   
   • Download [www.nexusmods.com] - For more contrast visuals
     
   • Download [www.nexusmods.com] - For more colorful visuals
2. Extract "sds_retail" folder from the zip file, and copy-replace in the game directory.

1. Download [www.nexusmods.com] - No Intro
   
2. Copy-replace "sds_retail" from zip to game directory

All right now its time to run your city. You may want to turn off rear-view mirror & speedometer in-game for cleaner look.
