Understanding the Mode
What sort of gamemode is it?

Ever played Insurgency: Sandstorm's Co-op mode? It's like that, minus the artillery strikes and such. Otherwise, it's comparable to Payday 2, with the special enemies. You will be doing an epic amount of killing (around 200 kills per run on Extreme if you can carry your sorry ass properly).

Your main priorities will be:
  • Getting rid of specials ASAP and learning their spawn positions and triggers
  • Not instantly getting owned by a sniper, rocketeer or flamethrower because you pushed too hard and exposed yourself
  • Supporting your teammates by covering them, healing them, etc.

Classes

Stinger, Vyron and Uluru. Everyone else is a net negative to your team's actual needed utility. Healing is GOOD. Smoke is GOOD (helps you revive and avoid fire a little bit). Sticky/aimed explosives are GOOD (for the boss). Everything else is mostly a meme.
D-Wolf will get your team killed with his bouncy nades. Toxik's drones aren't useful at all due to the sheer mass of enemies. The recons may help with getting rid of a single special if you run out of ammo, but that's a skill issue.

2 Stinger and 1 Uluru/Vyron is usually what you'll want.

"You won't lose Anything"
To start with, you need to understand the following. When the game means you "don't lose your gear if you lose", you don't actually use up anything. If you bring it in, you come out with it intact.

Consumables are returned with their original uses left, armor is fully repaired, all ammo brought in is returned, etc. Whether you win or lose. So no, you don't lose anything ever.

If you lose, your daily tries are NOT decreased. They only decrease if you WIN and get RAID tickets.

Therefore, you can very much splurge on a kickass tricked out armor/gun set and never, ever worry about losing it!
Equipping yourself
Health

RAID mode is a mix between Ops and Warfare. Up to Extreme mode, you will have very slow natural health regen. However, there are no injuries, no debuffs, and no pain, so anything outside of a healthkit is useless. Ideally, your Stingers will be able to heal you enough.

Armor

Bring the biggest, strongest armor you can. Keep a full suit JUST for RAID mode and nothing else. Do not use helmets that restrict your vision, as it will make your situational awareness total butts. Get yourself orange or red. Purple is fine up to hard. Extreme will have you decimated in seconds with anything less.

Bring an armor and helmet kit. In fact, bring two of each, just to be safe. Remember you need one that corresponds to the right tier if you use Lv. 5 or 6 armor.

Guns

55 DAMAGE. If your gun does 55 damage, it will kill any enemy short of machinegunners in a single headshot. That means the XM250, the 6.8x51 machinegun, is the absolute best weapon you can use for this.

Failing that, get yourself an SVD. You should at least have two guns, mostly because you're not going to spend a fortune buying 6.8 ammo.

In fact, don't even bring any ammo! Just bring a secondary with a loaded magazine, and there's an ammo box right next to the start of the match. Go there and you'll be loaded for the rest of the game as long as you keep supplied.

it's strongly recommended you kit them out for getting reliable one-taps. You'll only burst shieldbearers (in the legs), flamethrowers (everywhere, ideally head) and machinegunners (same).

Do not use a bolt action rifle unless you want to suffer a lot and penalize your team.
The Process
The Phases

You have four phases. Phase 1 and 4 are the most difficult. 2 is mostly trivial (you can't die, you can even unequip your armor, but don't do that on Extreme!), 3 is mostly tolerable due to plentiful cover and good visibility.

The name of the game on Hard + is MEMORIZE SPAWNS, TAKE YOUR TIME, SPECIALS FIRST

Something to remember in Phase 1 and 3: If you go fast and move through the map quickly, less enemies spawn, but you put yourself in more danger. However, there is a finite amount of spawns for those, outside of the bridge area. It's a balance of how fast versus how safe.

Phase 1
Hop off the boat, lmao. A rocketeer will spawn and blow up a house before swaggering away. Ignore him, he's just a cutscene object and doesn't actually exist.

Immediately go to the house furthest on the left.

There is a passage in a S shape that goes forward. If you turn immediately right,

There is an ammo pile there, pick it up and you will get ~300 rounds of purple for the gun you have out. This is enough for almost everything.

On easy just kill stuff and move in. On all other difficulties, go slower, pick off enemies as they come to you. Watch every balcony like a hawk and eliminate rocketeers and snipers the moment they show up. This is the main thing you'll be doing throughout the entire op.

The exploding truck does kill you instantly if you run up to it. The blast radius is a bit smaller than it appears, is all.

Keep going until you see the bridge. There is an ammo pile to the left and a house to the right. If you move past the house, you will trigger the bomb sequence.

On easy just drop a smoke curtain and defuse the bombs. The puzzle is simple. Follow the wire and make sure you notice overlaps.

On harder difficulties

Have everyone resupply, and keep someone in the house to snipe at the towers. A good position to take up on the defense is on the sandbags from the house's balcony. See below. This covers almost all critical spawns for specials and machineguns, as well as most of the bridge. Someone keeping an eye on inner side of towers and far left MG helps a lot.

A helicopter will spawn on Hard and Extreme if you take too long to get to the bridge. It just comes much faster on Extreme. Have everyone shoot at it until it dies. It's pretty easy to kill but is a huge bother if you leave it alive.

On hard, if you go VERY fast, and disarm bomb 1 before the lines are done playing, it doesn't spawn the technicals(?) Verify that.

Kill everything on the bridge and have someone stand a little ways back on hard +. The moment you defuse the first bomb, two trucks with LMG and aimbots will show up. Immediately kill the gunners but DO NOT SHOOT THE DRIVERS or you may explode one of your teammates.

Keep killing the snipers and rocketeers that spawn on the tower. On Extreme, they spawn constantly, so make sure none of them gets a clean shot. Defuse the bombs and the hard part is done. Flamethrowers and the odd machinegunner are must-kills if they show up. Coordinate with your team to spot them.

Speed IS of the essence, but it'll definitely be safer if two people kill everything for the defuser.

Phase 2

if you crouch you heal

shoot at things and they die

Any damage you take at 1% hp is transferred straight to your truck.

Rockets are for the suicide technicals and the helicopter. Hard is actually the hardest version of this, as you get struck by 3 suicide trucks all at once for some reason. Extreme is easier solely because it paces itself out more.

At some point you will be blocked by two trucks. Blow those up or you can't move. Just shoot at them or use a RPG.

Phase 3

Patch your armor.

If you didn't kill him at the end of Phase 2, there is a jerk at the beginning with a rocket launcher that can snipe your player 3 from afar, by the way.

Phase 1 but follow the APC. Once you get to "your six, construction site", that means it's turning left through the wall. If the APC stops at the first crossroads after the right-hand corner, that's because the Technical that spawns on the left hasn't been destroyed.

Early inside the city, you can immediately turn right and enter a back alley. This is an excellent flanking path that will let you take tons of easy pot shots on everyone but the rocketeers. At least one player should take it to sweep and make it easier on everyone.

If for some strange and whimsical reason, you absolutely need more ammo, there is a secret box you can parkour to from that blue container. Jump on the sandbag barricade, then follow the roof across the plank you can see in this screenshot. The ammo box is in the building to the right, in the far end.

While you're fighting at the gate, enemies will spawn behind you. On extreme that's ~4 shieldbearers and a bunch of goons. You can get on nearby rooftops, but this can expose you to rocketeers.

Here's a nice position.

Mostly harmless as long as you don't bumble into the open.

Phase 4

Kill Rocketeers, grab their RPGs, and shoot at the tank is the goal. Remember to actually fire your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rockets and not hoard them like some kind of monkey.

Again, if for some inexplicable reason you need MORE ammo, the spawner area in the far right has one.

At first, stay in the building, let the tank rotate to the other side.

The main threats are goons on the temple stairs across the area from you. On extreme you will constantly get 2 snipers, 4 goons, and a machinegunner every so often. Have someone constantly kill those.

Other two players should support each other, rotate, collect rockets and shoot the tank. Return to the spawn to settle down, fix up, heal and reload. Keep in mind there are LMG emplacements on all corners except the one right of where you start. Make sure they stay clean and don't let a rocketeer get a missile off or you'll be sorry.

Machinegunners don't care about smoke, so keep their emplacements clean.

If Command says "watch out for flamethrowers", that means GET OUT OF THE CENTRAL AREA. The tank will do a funny flame wheel for a minute and go on its merry way. It will absolutely laminate you if you stay in the area, so just get out of there, pick up rockets, and get free shots, its LMG is inactive when it does that.

The tank takes more damage from its engine compartment (that's the rear if you're wondering and/or don't play warfare), less from the front. Try to go for the sides at least.

Sometimes the tank can go to the center and sit there for a bit.

As long as nobody dies in a stupid place and everyone suddenly forgets to pick off snipers and rocketeers, you'll be fine. Do not rush yourself. Rockets don't despawn. You have plenty of time to kill the boss.
Difficulty Differences
Normal
Enemies have their full health pool and fire what appears to be green ammo.
They are slightly more aggressive and more likely to get up in your face.
You take normal damage.

Hard
Enemies have blue armor. (Not that it matters since you have purple ammo for free).
Their accuracy is significantly increased, and they will start getting headshots reliably.
Bridge will spawn trucks when approached.
Different Phase 2 paths, chosen at random.
Phase 1 and 3 have considerably more specials.
Phase 4 will spawn snipers in batches of 2 and machinegunners.
Basically triple the spawn rate.
Tank has slightly more health.

Extreme
Enemies have purple armor. This is where damage breakpoint is fully relevant.
Enemies fire purple ammo, so your armor won't last long if you're careless. Blue armor is effectively useless now.
Helicopter will spawn when you approach the bridge on Phase 1.
Enemies will get very solid hits on you if you get out of cover and reduce you to a pulp if you're careless.
Machinegunners are basically laser beams and will delete you if not dealt with immediately.
Spawn rate is massively increased. Bridge constantly spawns specials. Phase 4 constantly vomits enemies at you from all sides. Significantly more enemies are specials during Phase 1.
Tank has double health.

Pretty awesome and concise guide, thank you. You should add a chapter where you talk about rewards also: the vouchers and what you get from vouchers, just to have a complete guide.

I have made armorless attempts on Phase 2. On extreme this can get you killed surprisingly fast. I'd just bring armor kits unless you're going for S rank honestly.

Machinegunners ignore smoke, and seemingly shoot through solid cover on bridge, so keeping them clean is fairly important, though speed is absolutely the most important thing for bomb defusal, indeed.

On the bridge if you play shepard just use smokes to get to bombs and defuse in seconds, no need to kill anyone, no heli. Just kill the first wave of shields and flamethrower, thats it.

At phase 2, just take of all your armor to not damage it. This level is super easy even on ultra. Shoot heli with bullets, not rockets. Save rockets for the 2 car blockpost, blow them up with rockets fast and your car wont even stop there.

At phase 3, best option is 2 guys on top of building on both sides and 1 guy walking street. Only problem there are the rocketeers that you should kill instantly, and that one sniper on top of high building far away that noone notices.
