The 3 trinkets of glory
Well first we need 3 specifics trinkets
And yes we will always use the same trinkets whatever your hero is

1/ Really Big Sword
Enemy Silver Coin drop is doubled
Since all enemies in Extreme are Elite they give A LOT of silver coins, and with that items everyhting will be doubled, and you will usually shop with 15-25 gold way more gold efficient that a trinket like Puppet (In Shop Stage: Items cost 1 less (min 1))
and since good items are the key to win, you'll need that gold
trinket is legendary, so you'll need to win a game at any fdifficulty with trader/savant/enchanter/blood mage/craftman to get it

2/ Straw Hat
Start the game with a random Epic Companion
So we'll start with one out of 5 epic companions and we will use restart until we get the one we want: the artist
You can also use Sword Key to get Trader/Cook but the items they get you are usually worse than artist

Artist only give you Rare items (not
all of them) that are:
-Aleia's Flower: Increase the chance of rolling a Red Dice by 5%
More red dice, always good
-Archmage's Staff: Increase the chance of rolling a Blue Dice by 5%
More blue dice, less value than red but still
-Chameleon Tail: Every Stage Start: a random dice gain a random color
More red/blue/range, perfect
-Family Heirloom: When companion folded: Gain 3 Gold
Not so good, since we don't want artist to die
-Gambler's Purse: When you discard a dice by not using it gain 1 Silver Coin
More silver/gold when we roll until dungeon master
-Glimmery Ration: When Purchased: Heal your hero for amount of Silver Coins you dropped last Stage
Game breaking item that will give you 40-60 health usually and make you win almost every game
-Goblin's Eye: Every Stage Start: Complete 1 random enemy Exact Slot
Very good item that is even better than +1 dice
-Griffon's Claw: After Folding an Enemy: Decrease a random Total Slot by 3
Not the best but still useful
-Homing Arrow: When a Total Slot completed with one dice: Gain 1 Silver Coin
More silver/gold, not so useful
-Lost Coupon: Makes every future item in shop cost -1 Gold Coin (min 1)
One of the best items for gold
-Lyre: Every Stage Start: Silence a random enemy
One of the best items, removing a lot of damage at stage start
-Rod Of Want: When Gold Dice Set is complete: Hero skill becomes available (unique)
Almost useless, if you get it first level you can restart to be honest
-Sage's Tea: Every Stage Start: Complete 1 random dice slot for your Hero Skill
Sometimes useful, depends on your hero power
-Silver Eye: When an Exact Slot is completed: Gain 1 Silver Coin
A bit more gold
-Tailor's Needle: Increases the amount of Gold Coin granted by gold dice set by 1
Almost useless
-Tiny Bag: Gain +1 Dice Bag Slot (max 6)
Great item that let you have one more useful dice
-Torn Contract Gain +1 Silver Coin from folded enemies
More silver/gold, quite useful since it will be doubled by first trinket
-Twins' Token: When you roll two different colored dice in a single roll; Gain 2 Silver Coins
A bit more silver/gold
-Wealth Talisman: Every 3 Rolls: Gain 1 Silver Coin
A bit more silver/gold

So as you can see most of them are useful, and some are very strong if you get them early
And we will get one of them almost every stage, allowing use a very good start and we'll often end the game with 30-50 items

3/ Cosmic Petal
Start the game with +1 Roll
Since we need a lot of dice to kill enemies ASAP and take as lowest damage possible, while filling our companion slots to get items, this is the perfect 3rd trinket
The strategy
As you'll have probably guess by now, our strategy is to generate a lot of items with The Artist to stomproll the early game, get a lot of gold, find good items in the shop and stomproll everything

So for stage 1-10, we want to kill all enemies unless the lowest attack one, usually only 1-2 attack, and roll until dungeon master for:
-completing artist slots to get a good rare item
-finding as much red dices as possible to heal both artist and our hero (artist should'nt die, if she dies before stage 10 usually we won't win
-we can totally ignore the gold set, the value of it is quite low since we will already have a lot of gold with our first trinket the sword and our money generating items anyway, you'll see me almost never putting dice on it in my videos
-store 3 or more good dices at bottom left for the next fight (high value usually i keep 6/5/3/1), don't keep too many of the same value
-always keep artist at companion choice to keep generating good items even if she is very low health

How to fight
So you'll see 4 elite enemies appearing and be like omg what do i do now:

Identify the biggest threat: usually the one that hit the hardest, in this case the stalker with 10 attack
-can you kill him immediatly? if yes do it
if no, kill the 2nd highest threat, in this case, the leech with 6 attack

Identify the lowest threat to keep alive so you can roll dice until dungeon master appears
if it's a monster with 3/4 attack and you have low health, don't keep rolling and kill him
there is no perfect rule, it's your skill to see when you keep rolling for red dice and gold/silver items generating and when to stop
in the first case i'll kill scarecrow and keep the raven he generates with 1 attack alive to roll good dices

here we will keep the high red dice to heal, and kill not the cultist because 23 is a lot, but the chupacabra which is way easier: we will keep the imp or boar at 3 attack as last enemy

read what enemy do some enemy will only attack hero or companion and if one has way more health that the other well it's not a problem then
some will help you greatly if you kill them first, some will spawn another dangerous enemy or a way less harmful one

you need to find balance between a lot of total damage (high dice) and having exact dice slot available because rolling 3 times for a 3 and taking damage suck
usually hero power that do one or the other are really good to have
Priority items to buy
we want:
-lot of gold
-more dices
-damage prevention
-way to kill enemies, either by total damage or exact slot dice, and we will need both

well i won't do a tier list of everything, just put a few items that are must buy if you see them

-lot of gold
Burglar's Helm 3 Gold Whenever you purchase a "When Purchased" item: Gain 1 Gold Coin

Gatekeeper's Obol When Purchased: Gain Gold Coin equal to number of items in your inventory
Can give 20-40 gold :)

Ronin's Headband 2 Gold Gain 10 Gold Coins but Companions won't join you anymore (unique)
Instant +8 gold and when companions show our artist will still heal 5 health

-more/good dices
Chameleon Tail 3 Gold Every Stage Start: a random dice gain a random color

Crystal Tooth 3 Gold Enemies no longer drop Silver Coin. Gain +2 Dice for the rest of the game (unique)
Only get it at stage 20+ since it stops most of gold generating

Dice of Need 2 Gold Whenever 4 or more unfolded enemies exist: Your roll will have +1 dice
Always useful since there is always 4 enemies in extreme

Gas Lantern 2 Gold Every Stage Start: +1 dice for first roll

Shark's Teeth 5 Gold After Folding an Enemy: +1 dice for next roll

Trickster's Note 6 Gold Gain +1 Dice Roll

-damage prevention
Cloak 2 Gold Every Stage Start: Your hero blocks the first attack (unique)

Lyre 3 Gold Every Stage Start: Silence a random enemy

Sun Draught 7 Gold End of Turn: Heal your Hero by 1
This is like +6/7 health by stage

-way to kill enemies:
Ant Pendant: 3 Gold Every Stage Start: You will roll 6 for all dices (unique)
Very useful for total damage, if you get it fill your bottom left dice with low dice for exact slots

Booby Trap: 6 Gold Every Stage Start: Fold a random enemy (unique)

Briar Sword 3 Gold Complete a random dice of First Attacker in a stage (unique)

Goblin's Eye 4 Gold Every Stage Start: Complete 1 random enemy Exact Slot

Hammer 2 Gold Dices dropped on Total Slots are considered +1 value
Way more useful that it seems when we need to fill a 20-30 total slot

Virtuoso's Cookbook 6 Gold Whenever you complete an enemy Total Slot by putting the exact number on it roll that same dice again (unique)
Give you 2-5 more dices on mosts rolls if used well

Obviously most items are situation dependant, but it's to five you a good idea what to aim for

DON'T BUY:
Fairy In A Cage 6 Gold Every Stage Start: Silence ALL enemies (unique)
the problem with this item is that you can't kill any enemy one the first stage, only fill your hero and companion slot which is not the priority; it's still okay, but Lyre or Goblin Eye are WAAAAY better

Lucent Dagger 7 Gold After you complete a slot, Dices dropped on Total Slots are considered +1 value (Resets after turn)
Quite expensive and situational

Items that will upgrade rarity of future items or companions: just not worth it
Items that give you gold/silver but upgrade the enemy: just don't it's not worth it
When to restart
-if you don't get artist right away (1 in 5, it's the little annoying moment of this strategy)
-If at stage 6 you don't have any good item and you're low health
-artist died before stage 10 and you don't have amazing items

usually i succeed in 1-3 tries with hero with good hero power (like Wizard, King, Blood mage, etc) and 3-5 tries with hero with bad power (Captain, Thief, Missionary for instance)

if you need to restart way more than that, you're doing something wrong, either being too greedy and dying early, or not being greedy enough early game, so check the gameplay videos to see what you should probably do:
Gameplay videos
I would suggest you try first with hero you are confortable with and with a nice hero power (the best are the ones that solve exact or total slots easily)

My favorite video, with craftman, ending with a beautiful 99 gold and 99 health:

Videos are unlisted so preview don't work, just click
King: (easy, good power)
https://youtu.be/jlIvDwVRo6k

Jack: (okay hero power)
https://youtu.be/Sl7Ufl8iut4

Warrior (good hero power but grey dice instead of red)
https://youtu.be/zcVlmKfHi3U

Captain: (hard, bad hero power)
https://youtu.be/RHt1fsEr_AE

Well i could do all 30ish heroes but it's always the same things happening, so you get the idea

Endless mode
Endless mode can be a bit tricky for some heroes since you'll have only 1 trinket for some
I would suggest picking the sword trinket for mass gold but straw hat seems fine; just don't chose cosmic petal alone

Achievement goes at stage 51, and then it gets very boring and repetitive so yeah just stop at 51, trust me

Here a gameplay video until stage 250+, i could go further but got bored

I hadn't quite worked out this trinket combo. I knew the Really Big Sword was really powerful, and the cosmic petal was quite high up there in desirability, but I only purposefully used the artist when I did my craftsman run, along with Ouroboros Bracelet and Chrono Medallion. It sounds a bit dull that there's a one-size-fits-all trinket combo. I'll hold out some hope that with some heroes there are still better ones.

By the way, I try to keep a red 3 die in my dice bag after the early game. It folds the minotaur instantly, which is the primary reason, but I think the water droplet or some such could be folded with any colored die too. I do risk losing out on the three health, but if I survive to mid-game, I hopefully will have started to gain momentum so I figure it's possibly worthwhile.
