Night 1 doesn't really provide much evidence that this is a sequal but heres a few things. The guy on the phone is the same guy in the first game even though he died. Plus in this game he states the animatronics can move around while in the first one he states they use to be able to move around. Now you may say that "But that's for the new animatronics." But he also mentioned in night 2 that they had put some of the new programming into the new animatronics which I will get more depth in the next section. A former night shift guard who is now day shift is mentioned aswell.

Night 2 mentions that they tried to fix the older models to be in the "new" pizzeria. They started fixing them even putting in new programs hence the walking part but then they decided to toss the project and just get completely new animatronics. Now they always refer to the last animatronics as "old" or refer to the last location. Many people presume that it's the place from the first game but theres proof that it's not in Night 5. I will cover that when you get there.

Night 3 mentions that theres been rumors about bad things happening at the new Freddy Fazbear's Pizzaria. Which also says the day shift guard reported nothing unusual, which hinting that he may be dishonest and corrupt if bad things are actually happening. Knowing the animatronics they most likely are. The speculations may also have been cause by the faulty first building.

Things start to really piece together in Night 4. the phone guy mentions an investigation going on suggesting something very bad is happening. He also says the animatronics are showing increased hostality againsted adults but not kids. This event leads up to major key events in the plot. Also remember those scenes through freddies head inbetween certain nights. They are all in the pizzeria from the first game but why in the one this night is Marionette here in front of your screen? This just further proves my theory.

On Night 5, phone guy mentions that the building is on lockdown. Especially to any former employees. Which he then says that the day shift is now available which he may move you to. Now that not only suggests that the previous day shift security left and had done something bad since the building is on lockdown from anyone especially employees. He also mentions the original place. "Fredbear's Family Diner" which is not the place in the first game. The place closed down due to animatronic incidents stated before because since the first place was open during the early 80s. Which is when animatronics were first invented hence making them unreliable and glitchy which could result in violent, hostile behavior. That's why the old animatronics are refered to as the old animatronics not because they were in the first game. At the end of the day you recieve a check which is not only lower than the first game suggesting inflation but it says November 12, 1987, before the Bite of 87 ever happened.

In Night 6 the phone guy mentioned a person, presumably the former day shift employee had stolen the golden freddy suit. Later he murders 5 children in that same suit as mentioned in the first game. Phone guy also says there will be an event tommorow which is presumed to be when the Bite of 87 happens. People think it doesn't happen to a kid but to either the murderer trying to lure a 6th child or you. The phone guy leaves off saying that he will start the night shift. In the first game he said he used to be the night shift.

After losing a lot of money the owners decided to move to a smaller location. The place in the first game. The new ones are scrapped due to malfunctions and the old ones are ket then repaired in hopes a new Fazbear's Pizzaria will open. This also explains the limited power in the first game. In a few of the minigames you put masks on dead children and bring them back to life. Hence saying that the dead children are now in the repaired animatronics.
