  1. On the title screen, open the console (`).
  2. Enter "g_multiplayer_limit 8" (or any other number)
  3. Host your supersized lobby ㋡

I presume achievements still unlock with more players as well? Or does console use disable it?

This did work and you can also do the increase while hosting a lobby.
