Preamble
DISCLAIMER : THEY WILL BE SPOILERS IN THIS GUIDE !

Firstly, it is recommanded to play the DLC after finishing the main storyline. Tempest Tantrum (TemTan) takes place after "The Good Ending" or "The Neutral Ending" of Tavern Talk, so it would spoil some important details of the story. The first dialogues are quite neutral and written so that no matters the choices made in the main storyline, you can understand what it said.

Second, the DLC is quite short. I finished it in less than 3 hours, but it depends on people (reading speed, time to choose the potions and infusions, decision time for the embranchments, etc). However, the story is cool. We do not see all characters from the main story, but it is alright. The story introduces a new character : Oleander, Fable's older brother (Fable is 110 yo and Oleander is 250 yo) ; a new recipe and a new infusion with a new effect.

Third, TemTan does not exactly work like the main storyline because you do not have any bad outcome. More on that later.

Last, TemTan does not have any achievements linked to it. May everyone knows !
Structure and Embranchments
As said earlier, TemTan detaches himself from the main storyline because you have embranchments instead of "a good and a bad ending".
On the first quest, you’ll have two different options, and the drink you choose to serve will impact the whole playthough. Here is a diagram for a better understanding.
If you want to explore the implications before deciding, we’re here to help.
Night at the Library
This is the very first quest you'll design, and the drink you serve here will decide which embranchment is taken. Whichever drink you select, you’ll need to incorporate Baya’s new infusion to tackle the underwater breathing challenge.

The Detective Way

In order to find the second mechanism and to solve the mystery of the “haunted books”, a Silent Owl with the new Luminous Algae is required.

This decision unlocks the second quest, One Zoetrope to Rule Them All, along with its ensuing storyline. This one is, in my opinion, the best choice, based on the different endings and the other choice.

The Rogue Way

If you prefer a quicker and stealthiest approach, the new cocktail, the Ocean Fizz with the Luminous Algae will perfectly do the charm.

In this option, the mechanism is found, but the library's mystery is left without a resolution. The quest is, however, still a success. This decision unlocks the other second quest, A Tempest is Announced, along with its accompanying storyline.
One Zoetrope to Rule Them All
For this second quest, the adventurers who will take it are Una, Clay and Oleander. In this quest, once the adventurers understand how the mechanism functions, they’ll choose to repair the zoetrope, allowing the tempest spirit to return to it. The success of the second action depends on the potion chosen.

The Negotiating Barbarian Way

In this option, your adventurers are set for success but will not repair the device. Equipped with Charisma, Strength, and resistance to fire damage from a drink like the Sailor’s Courage with Phoenix Chili, they will use their words to help the angry spirit to see things differently.

The Arcane Engineer Way

If you choose to serve a Hot Chocolate with Lotus Flower, the group will figure out where to seek help and repair the mechanism, creating a new home for the Tempest.

Both are, in my opinion, great outcomes and proves how different apprauch can give great endings in RPJ.
A Tempest is Announced
In this second embranchment, Archi will use his knowledge of the world to pursue the tempest directly—with a little help from the ever-charming Voy and Oleander as a guide through the Forbidden Valley.

The Bard Way

Guided by Voy's charisma boosted by a Thousand Winds with Honey Flower, the party will find people to help them, repair the mechanism and convince the Tempest to inhabit it.
Everybody becomes happy at the end.

The Ranger Way

Chosen that you give the party a Steel Tonic with Phoenix Chili, they will bravely confront the Tempest with their might. Unfortunately, the mechanism will not be able to trap the Tempest and some exterior help will be needed to deal with the spirit -- and its ravages.

This is the less happy ending in my opinion, but the quest is finished, and the danger avoided.
