Hit Start to let it do it works and it will automatically effectively negate the effects of what you know as "memory leak". Keep the window open while you play/minimise only.



The default values are good as they are for Heroes of Hammerwatch II and any PC setup.
Regardless how much RAM you have. While running it in background it also helps with other games. That is why I put the app for long-term use in C:\Program Files\ISLC\ and keep the autostart on. As it is working without actual installation you can extract it wherever you prefer.

The app is also great for making memory leaks visible. Usually you only know that an application is slowing down over time, the more you use it. Then restarting the app or even restarting the PC can help. The app actually makes it visible, because the memory leak is not the RAM that is actually in use - as the Task Manager shows - but the RAM that accumulates in standby. Hence the standby list cleaner - once the app clears the standby RAM, it frees it from being lost to the memory leak.

• set the condition free memory is lower than to half of your memory *
  
• enable custom timer resolution
  
• set wanted timer resolution to 0.5

* Example:

• if you have 64 GB set the value to (64/2) x 1024 = 32768
  
• if you have 32 GB set the value to (32/2) x 1024 = 16384
  
• if you have 16 GB set the value to (16/2) x 1024 = 8192

That wll make the app react faster and better as soon as memory leak occurs. While that matters not much in a game like Heroes of Hammerwatch II, it can lead to improved performance with other more demanding games.
