How Seagull Frenzies work
By Cypher
This is a short guide on how seagull frenzies work since there is a lot of confusion about it!

What's a Seagull Frenzy?
Each X time you have a chance that a seagull will spawn which you can click for bonus rewards.

There is a chance that that seagull will be a seagull frenzy, meaning a lot more seagulls will spawn at the same time (in 1 group) and that's a seagull frenzy.

The amount of seagulls that spawn in a seagull frenzy can be increased by upgrades throughout the menu.

What does "Chance of seagull frenzy" really mean?
If you go to Settings > Stats > Seagulls you can see there is a statistic called: "Chance of seagull frenzy"

This means that each X seconds you get a seagull coming/or auto caught.
The odds that this seagull spawn will be a frenzy is that odd in my screenshot being 26.5%

Seagull Frenzy Spawns from Clicking Seagulls
When you click a seagull, it has the chance to give the following rewards:

  • 2.2% chance to trigger a Seagull Frenzy
  • 14.3% chance to get 4x Gold Gain for 1 minute
  • 14.3% chance to get 4x Fish Value for 1 minute
  • 14.3% chance to get 10x Silver Per Second for 1 minute
  • 22% chance to get instant Silver
  • 33% chance to get instant Gold

MEANING
The 26.5% chance from above does NOTHING to this value. If you click a seagull there is only a 2.2% chance to get another seagull frenzy and NOT 26.5% (in my case)

Example

If you have 44 seagulls autocaught stocked up and you click all of them. Each individual seagull has 2.2% chance to spawn another seagull frenzy.

This would mean that after clicking 44 seagulls there is a 62.42% chance to get another frenzy (not guaranteed but quite likely).

For those who like the probability theory explained in math:

Step 1: Probability of not getting a frenzy from a single seagull
Each seagull has a 2.2% chance of giving a frenzy . That means the probability of not getting a frenzy from one seagull is:

1−0.022=0.978

Step 2: Probability of not getting a frenzy from 44 seagulls
Since each seagull click is independent, the probability of not getting a frenzy after clicking 44 seagulls is:

(1−p)^n =0.978^44

Step 3: Probability of getting at least one frenzy
The probability of getting at least one frenzy is the complement of the probability of getting none:

𝑃(at least one frenzy)=1−(1−𝑝)^𝑛

So that would result into this with numbers:
𝑃(at least one frenzy)=1−0.978^44

=> 62.42%=1−0.978^44

So with a 2.2% chance per seagull, the probability of getting at least one frenzy after clicking 44 seagulls is approximately 62.42%.

I added the math below in the guide :)

It's probablity theory. if you spawn 44 seagulls which each 2.2% chance to get a frenzy, then there is a 62% chance to actually get a frenzy of 1 of those 44 seagulls. As I mentioned in the guide.. no guarentee :)

"62.42% chance to get another frenzy" If chance is 50% is not mean that u have to do something twice to happen. Chance is still 2,2%.

I hope it will clear some confusion about how to chain seagull frenzies, so it's not based on your chance at all, it's merely the 2.2%.
