Before you Upload!
First of all you need to prepare a folder with your cards:

MUST:

-Place between 56-256 Cards inside of the folder!
-All images must be PNG or JPG! (no webp or gif)

BEST PRACTICE:

-The images should have the ratio 9:16 (vertical). We will stretch and cut images that dont fit the ratio.
-Full HD Images (1080:1920), higher can cause problems due to size, and lower might look bad but even down to 480:854 will be fine.

Uploading with the Deck Creator
First you want to copy the file path of the Folder you created in Step 1.

The File path on Windows is found here.
Mark it and press CTRL+C

Now you want to open Pic-Me and open the Deck Creator:

You now want to press "Pick a Folder" in the top left!

On one of your screens a file browser will now open:

Now you want to double click on the file path on the top here until it is marked white.
Paste the image folder path with CTRL+V.
Press Enter.

The names of your images should be displayed now!
Click "Select Current Folder"

If you have done everything correctly, the deck creator should now display your cards

You can now go through all the images with the arrows on the side and recenter them by dragging if they are not 9:16. (You dont need to do this)

You can delete a card by clicking the trash can on top of the card.

If you have uploaded enough cards the number between 56/256 should be white.

Last Step: You need to write a name for your deck.
Steam does not allow certain special characters, we recommend writing the name in plain text, to avoid problems.

If you have done everything correctly you should be able to press "Upload"

The game will now load in all of your cards and upload it to the workshop (depending on the size of the deck and your internet speed, this might take a few minutes)

If the upload finished successfully you will get a pop up:

Steam will open your workshop item, so you can share it! (Decks will be public automatically, if you want your deck to be private you need to change the visibility to friends-only)

It will take Steam a few minutes to fully release the deck!
Common Problems
Common Problems and how to solve them.

Crash during Upload

If that happens, that most likely means one of your images is not supported or corrupted. (we only support png/jpg)

check your logs (type %appdata% into the search bar and go to godot/app_userdata/pic-me/logs)
If you scroll down the first text file you will find an Error:

USER ERROR: Error loading image: File Path of your folder/ Name of the corrupted file

You need to either convert the image to a png/jpg using an online converter or delete it.
If it already is a png/jpg, throwing it into an online converter might still help with corrupted files.

Steam Workshop Error 2:

This is the generic error, so it could mean a lot of things.

We found 2 common problems people have with this error:

Name contains special characters (e.g. ?,!,/,:,')
-You need to change your name, if you just use plain text, this wont happen

Problem with Steam Thumbnail
-sometimes our image compression cant get the thumbnail under 1mb, if this happens you need to change the first image in the folder(sorted alphabetically) The compressor works better with simple images that dont have a lot of diffrent colours.

Because this is the generic error, it just means something went wrong, so your problem might not be one of these, if so write us a ticket on discord, or to our email.

Steam Workshop Error 25:

Problem with Steam Thumbnail again
-sometimes our image compression cant get the thumbnail under 1mb, if this happens you need to change the first image in the folder(sorted alphabetically) The compressor works better with simple images that dont have a lot of diffrent colours.
