Every Type of Magus
So Drifter, you're now able to get your very own state of the art Magus. Now with each Magus ability, they will excel in some areas and lack in others. Currently there are 5 types:
  1. Weather Gazer
Think of this as the protective parent of the bunch! This Magus archetype will make sure you have an umbrella before you go outside, telling you when it'll rain. Even if you insist you don't need one! With stats relying solely on exploration and resource gathering. Your Magus will basically turn a blind eye to enemies of all varieties, yet they can tell you if that AO you've been eyeing up is truly market fresh or just bandit slop.

  2. Cradle Support
This Archetype has been taking it's Cradle studies seriously, as they can and will repair your Cradle without delay! They can even check up on other Cradles in the vicinity with just a glance and can even peep into their pockets. A little shady, but you can never be too careful out there! With this keen eye they can even show you how much you'll get out of your AO excavation! Just don't expect Quality to be apart it...

  3. Anti-Enders
Their veterinary practices have come a long way on the surface, letting you know how much pack you're putting behind that energized punch. Yet don't think their practices mean they're lovers of these Enders. Since they can put them down faster than you can dodge. Sadly they spent so long staring at Enders. They won't be of much use to you in excavation, nor keeping you safe from bandits.

  4. Anti-Cradle
Your Magus has an eye out for every other Cradle on the field, they can and WILL show them how much better they are as the enemy is forced into a battle they won't be able to leave. They can even choose where the battle will start and end. Don't expect them to be good at finding you good AO however. They spent too long looking for weak-spots in Cradles to be better at anything else.

  5. Defensive
This Magus has seen tough times and been through rougher. Shaking off explosives as if it were just a stroll in light storm with both eyes wide open. They can see grenades and landmines before they even become a thought so you can quickly dash out of the way. They might not be the best for when it comes to AO, but they can detect things at quite the distance and aren't half bad at detecting a friend from foe. They too are quiet shady and can see into pockets...

Now that you got the basic idea of what every Magus can do, hopefully the one you pick will be to your liking. You can always re-config your Magus if you like, for a price. So be sure you made the right call the first time!
Home sweet home Pt.1
CONGRATULATIONS
You now have your own place to call home with your trust new Magus by your side. Now first starting there won't be a lot to do just yet in your now la casa, but don't let that put you down as you will be given tasks to get them completed! These things will come in time Drifter, have patience. It is your most reliable virtue.

On the top portion of your screen you'll notice that there are a bunch of things you can do! The one's we'll be covering are:

  • Sortie
Now you can't use everything in the Sortie tab just yet. You are only open to Sortie Prep and the Item Shop. The wish-list will be available the quickest out of the bunch!

Guns are a lot cheaper than Cradles, but when starting out it's best to keep with the basics until you feel comfortable with the amount of credits. Since everything you do requires the credits to get them started. Don't you worry about losing your equipment Drifter. All your starting gear is free in the shop, so if you get eliminated during your trip to the surface you can always get a Cradle back free of charge from the Association! Just don't expect it to be of any kind of quality.

Now the thing to remember is that ammo and Repair kits / Sealing kits are only 100 Credits so make sure you stock up on them! I especially recommend the kits! That way you won't have to worry about your Cradle being in a bind when you least expect it!

Now for the Sortie Prep, this is where the magic happens before the finale! Here you can change anything and everything about your kit before you go to the upper world!

At the bottom of your screen you will notice a few options presented to you:
    • Move to Safe Pocket
    • Manage Items
    • Divide
    • Repair Equipment
    Move to safe pocket
Is more utilized when you're out on the field and need to keep something important from being taken from you. Like high tier loot or mission objectives! We know you'd hate to lose the important goodies with that one. So save that space for later!

    Manage Items

Ah you've notice this Drifter is unorganized! We get it, sometimes you don't have the time to keep things neat and tidy, yet that takes up valuable space when you have so little to start with Drifter!

Isn't that much better? Look at how nice that looks, since your warehouse won't manage itself. It's imperative that you take the steps to make your acquired goodies are all sorted for when you need them later.

    Divide

However sometimes you want to separate some of your loot to either take to the Surface World and divvy up to some fellow Drifters or ... do some trading amongst the Black Market. I get it you need weapons with Live Rounds for when you're facing Bandits and such. That's a discussion for another day.

After you're done dividing things up you can now be officially ready to make your way to the Surface World! But one last tip before you make the trip ...

    Bonus Tip

Do you notice how it says Series Complete in the top left? That means that since you have the full sets your Cradles stats will slightly improve! Since it is now fully optimized. With that you'll also have more Cradle Space, even if it's an ever so slight improvement.

You don't wan't to be caught with mismatched parts, as you will be putting yourself at a disadvantage out in battle against not only the Enders, but Bandits as well!

  • Remodel
Now this is where you'll be doing most of your resource managing Drifter. As here you and your Magus will turn this dump into something great! Allowing you to craft bigger and better things as well as make the place more livable for the two of you. Granting buffs to your Magus and allowing them to relax after a long Sortie Please make sure to not do anything unbecoming to your Magus and treat them with care.

Within your Remodel you're able to improve 3 areas:
    • Production Space
    • Pit Space
    • Living Space

    Production Space

Here you can upgrade your Craft station, this will allow you to make and take better equipment for when you Sortie as well as make items for when you're trying to upgrade your Home!

Now with the Renovator your repairs will finally be reasonable to conduct! Since sometimes it will cost you an arm and a leg to get these parts back up. Just note that you can only repair items a certain number of times before they become Junk.
Home Sweet Home Pt.2
Pit Space

Here you will upgrade and dust off your Warehouse and Cradle pit to increase how many items you can store from your Sortie endeavors. Along with increasing your Safe Pocket space as well!

Item Warehouse

Leveling up this bad boi will make it so that you can officially hold more Junk it your home! 100 spaces fills up so quickly in here since ammo and health packs will usually be your go to items and you can seemingly never get enough of those!

Transport Elevator

With this new handy dandy trinket you can get daily gifts from the Association! There is no telling what you will get, but it's still a nice gesture for them to give you things while you're in need! upgrading it further will increase the amount of support you will receive!

Pit Facilities

Upgrading this will grant you to have a few more slots for key items for when the going gets tough and you have to eject yourself from a dangerous situation. Can come in handy! Just don't let it get to your head Drifter, keep yourself safe out there!

Craft

Now how many things you can craft will be up to what level your Craft Station is so you'll only have one space available to you, yet with how many credits you'll be starting with. One will just be enough for the time being.

Your biggest time in the Craft Station will be making materials. As you won't always be able to find these items out on the Surface. So you'll have to find materials and craft them yourself. The nice thing is you won't have to worry about hoping to find them! You can just have to Register them to your wish-list and your Magus will keep an eye out for you when you're making your excavations.

After you Wish-list a item you'll be able to finally view them all in the Wish List tab! Allowing you to Remove any Registered item whenever you need.

WITH THAT OUT OF THE WAY
You can now finally Sortie out there. GOOD LUCK DRIFTER
Navigating the World
Navigating the world for your first time can be discombobulating for sure. Yet that's no sweat for a kick-butt Drifter like yourself now is it? I'll teach you how to navigate it just in-case you need a refresher course!

Okay Drifter, when you pull out your map you will see your Target Objectives on the left with Key Points on your right. In order to navigate your Target Objectives you will need to use the arrow keys, highlighting what it is you'll be putting your focus into this Sortie. Highlighting them will update the Key Points on your map and give you the location of where the Target Objective is. Yet if your mission involves collecting "Junk" then you will see Yellow circles graciously provided by your Magus. As they will be constantly adding to their data where items will spawn as you explore the world more and more.

In this instance you can see that our drifter needs to collect some glass for some Fancy Tableware. OoOoh~ I hope they'll add a cup for one more fan favorite! Now keep in mind, this is just data that your Magus is learning as you explore the upper world! So don't be shocked when the item your looking for isn't there. It may have been picked up by another drifter or maybe windows have been picked clean. There is always next sortie after all!

Yet it seems luck was on our side as there was indeed glass where the Magus last took note of it's location. Now this is different from a main objective as this item we're looking for is actually something is drifter Favorited back in their garage to make when the time arises. Since this is "Junk" they're looking for It will appear with a Pink heart on the right hand side and on the mini map in the top right.

Your Magus will also highlight the object as it's within their line of sight, they will almost always notice it first before you do so it can be a little tricky to keep up! Especially in the heat of battle.

As you approach more details on the item will appear before you and you can see if the item is also Favorited. Since you won't always be actively looking for this "Junk". I like to keep items I will always be needing to find favorited since you can't set it to only be for a certain amount. Not yet anyway, RnD is trying to work out the kinks in the system.

After you collect enough of the item, a message will appear on your right from your Magus that you did a job well done and you have all that's needed to build your brand new Fancy Tableware.

AO conditons
Now AO crystals 101, You won't always be able to excavate AO. As some out there have higher base ratings than your drill can handle! If you notice that the AO is glowing PURPLE or GOLD you won't make a scratch on that AO. It's way to high for you, but if you notice it NOT GLOWING or RED You can grab up that AO any time!

Now this Drifter was in the rain and came across an AO crystal, In-case you were unaware. Rain purifies AO crystals and give them a slight boost in rarity! So the more times that AO is in rain, the higher the quality will be. Since it's only glowing slightly red, it won't be the best quality.

As you can see, Only one of the chunks of AO was a common quality while the others were kind of underwhelming. Yet that was only a small AO crystal after all. There are three type after all:
AO Size
Chunks
Small
3
Medium
4
Large
5

Bounties
Now there won't be friendly Cradles out there Drifter. Some want to hunt you for sport and stop you from getting the things you want!

As soon as a Hostile Cradle joins into the fray, Your Magus will notify you of this and mark where they generally appeared. However if they don't have a big enough bounty. They will not appear.

You can see in the white spot that they generally appeared and how much they are worth when you destroy their Cradle. However it won't update where they are all the time. It will update whenever another Drifter spots them and let you know when they're killing fellow drifters.

Your Magus will also let you know when they leave and use the elevator to escape.

Or when they have been defeated by a Bounty Hunters or by some other means.

UNDER DEVELOPMENT
Good luck Drifter!
Hopefully you are now confident with the knowledge you posses and can be a more efficient Drifter out on the Surface. May your AO be bountiful Drifter!

@Archaick pvp is wild , if u want to pvp properly the cheapest way is go to BM faction , the green tier craddle give bonus damage to coffin , and their gun do alot of damage, not just craddle , ender also.... the one fire first properly win in most fight so u should be the one engage first. Important part is lower ur weight when engage, that way u can dodge efficiently . And yeah , even if u have highly skill, you cant beat higher tier gear , like if u using green gear there noway u win against purple gear.... unless u got other ppl help u or he very low on heal. For the most recommend advice i could give u is, when do expedition, use jackbox with a green tier weapon, if u have to engage pvp, make sure ur life count .... and hopefully other association member come and finish what u left off.... good luck out there!

I'm very interested in the combat training bit lol I'm still in northern zone and have yet to engage in any pvp so hoping to learn some tips before I get stomped in the southern zone. (I'd only pvp in self defense personally)
