Re-Volt (RVGL) Online Multiplayer Setup Guide (No Port Forwarding)

This is an easy to follow guide on how set up and play online multiplayer in Re-Volt (RVGL) without port forwarding. This guide was made in Windows 10, but this should work on other Windows versions as well.

IMPORTANT:
It is required that every player that wants to play online with you follows this guide.
If you want to play with mods, make sure that the other players have those mods installed as well.

Step 1: Upgrade the Steam version to RVGL
If you want to use the Steam version to play online, you will need to upgrade that version to RVGL.

You can use BloodShed's guide to do that.
Step 2: Allow RVGL through Windows Defender Firewall
Open Windows Defender Firewall.

Click on "Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall".

Click on "Change settings".

Click on "Allow another app..."

Click on "Browse...".

Navigate to the game directory and select "rvgl.exe".
Click on "Open".

Click on "Add".

Click on "OK."
Close Windows Defender Firewall.

Done!
Step 3: Installing Radmin VPN
Radmin VPN allows you to create a private network that you can use to play online multiplayer in RVGL and other games.

Go here: https://www.radmin-vpn.com/
Click on "Free Download" to download the installer.

Open the installer.

Click on "Install".

After the installation, Radmin VPN will open. You should be online.
(If you're not online, you can click on the power button to go online.)

You can double click on <This PC> (the name of your PC) to change it.

Under the "Help" tab, click on "Install Radmin Server".

Click on "Next".

Check "I accept the terms in the license agreement" and click on "Next".

Click on "Install".

After the installation, click on "Finish".

The settings for Radmin Server will open.
Click on "Exit".

Step 4A: Creating a network
This step is only for the player who wants to create the network and be the host.
The players who want to join the network can skip this step and follow step 4B instead.

Click on "Create Network".

Fill in a name and password for the network, then click on "Create".

Give the other players the name and password of the network.
Step 4B: Joining the network
This step is only for the players that want to join the network.
If you want to create the network and be the host, follow step 4A instead.

Click on "Join Network".

Ask the player who followed step 4A for the name and password of the network.
Fill in the name and password, then click on "Join".

Done!
Step 5: Online multiplayer
Launch the game and go to Multi-Player.

The host of the network needs to select "Start Game".

The other players need to select "Join Game".
After selecting "Join Game", leave the"Host Computer" field empty and continue.

Note: Only the host of the network can host the game. If another player tries to host the game, it will not work.
