How to Upscale to 1080p & 4K and get Fullscreen Borderless (No DxWnd)
By blueq
How to use dgVoodoo 2 to make Rainbow Six 3: RavenShield 4k resolution and windowed borderless mode without DxWnd. This will make your game run faster, fix the planning phase, and create much cleaner visuals. This process was already done for you on my other (All-In-One) R6 modded guide so if you want to skip the processes, check out that guide.

DgVoodoo 2 Install

1. Download DgVoodoo 2 from The Creators Website[dege.freeweb.hu]

2. Extract it

3. Open up dgVoodooCpl.exe
DgVoodoo 2 Settings
1. Once you have the control panel open, copy these settings on the General tab. You can set the color settings to your liking, but this is how i have mine and it looks much better imo. Make sure your adapter is set to your main GPU.

2. Copy these settings next in the DirectX tab. You can increase the vram to the max, but it won't make much difference because RavenShield does not use that much VRAM.

Important: The resolution setting is set to 2560x1920 (not a preset, must be typed in) which is a pretty high resolution and is very clear if your computer can handle it. 1920x1440 seems to be a good resolution for most people. If you have a 4K monitor and want 4K resolution, set this to 3840x2880. The resolution can be set to whatever you like as long as its a 4:3 aspect ratio resolution to avoid planning phase bugs. Also important, Resolution forcing may create visual bugs such as vertical lines in the planning phase. There is no current fix yet but if you want to remove the lines, you must keep the resolution to unforced. (the game will still be in 16:9)

3. Right click dgVoodoo to Show all sections.

4. On the GeneralExt tab copy my settings. This is what will enable windowed borderless.

5. That should be it but before you hit apply, check the DirectXExt tab and copy my settings. They should be default but if not, copy them.

6. Save your settings by clicking Apply and then OK
Injecting DgVoodoo 2 into RavenShield
1. Once your settings are saved, open up your RavenShield System folder in your game's directory

2. Also go to the location where dgVoodoo is installed and find the Configuration file.

3. Drag your Configuration file into the game's System folder

4. Now go back to your dgVoodoo install location and open the MS folder and then the x86 folder (dgVoodoo/MS/x86).

5. Take all of the DLL files (except for D3D9.dll as that was causing performance issues) out of there and place them in the Rainbow Six 3 System folder along with the Configuration file.
Before & After
Now upon launching the game, you should load into windowed borderless and have much sharper graphics and faster performance.
