Skulls of Archdale are hanging glowing skulls found throughout Archdale, and the entirety of Evil Awaits. They can be collected by destroying them with your firearms, and are used to unlock secret rewards in the level: Garden. Skulls of Archdale are not needed to progress the story of Evil Awaits making them completely optional to collect.

- There is a total of 18 Skulls of Archdale that can be collected.
- Typically they are found hanging above the player around the environment of each level.
- When near a hanging skull, you will hear emitting ambience audio.
- One bullet from any firearm will destroy a Skull of Archdale.
- You can see how many Skulls of Archdale you have collected in your inventory.
- Skulls of Archdale add onto your overall points and ranking upon completion of the game.

Collecting Skulls of Archdale is required to unlock the gates at the very bottom of the Garden.
Depending on the amount collected, the Skulls around the chamber next to the gates will glow. Once the skull is glowing enough, they will explode and open the corresponding gate.

Upon entering the chamber with all the locked gates, the number of Skulls collected in-order to open the gates are:
- 5 Skulls of Archdale (Left)
- 10 Skulls of Archdale (Right)
- 15 Skulls of Archdale (Center)

Behind each gate is a corresponding reward:
- 5 Skulls - Unlocks the Sub Machine Gun (Firearm)
- 10 Skulls - Unlocks the Revolver (Firearm)
- 15 Skulls - Unlocks the Bloodied Knife (Key Item)

In-order to obtain some of the achievements in Evil Awaits, Skulls of Archdale must be collected.

Skulls of Archdale count towards your end-screen ranking upon completion, this means that they can also help towards achievements related to your rank at the end of the game.

There is a total of 18 Skulls of Archdale to collect throughout the story of Evil Awaits.
15 Skulls is all that is needed to unlock all rewards and achievements linked to the collectable. This means you can miss 3 Skulls throughout your playthrough and still have access to all rewards.

The locations are listed in order of level progression through the game, Skulls are highlighted in the images by a red box.

Skull of Archdale #1
Found straight after crouching through and leaving the Construction Site area at the start of the game. You'll see this Skull hanging from a tree on the left of the Bridge towards the Castle.


Skull of Archdale #2
Opposite the public restroom, further up the path towards the workers house. You can find this Skull hanging from a tree just above the path.

After passing the 2nd explosive canister, a Skull can be found hanging from a tree on the right side above the bridge.

Skull of Archdale #4
This Skull is found in the right window of the door that leads to the Docks level. This can be found once on-top of the 1st bridge you'll cross in the maze. Or at anytime after placing the Docks plate in the Garden.

While facing the entrance to the Garden, you'll see 2 tall towers either side of the large door. This Skull is hanging in the left towers window. Using first person aiming or the Sniper Rifle can help with the distance, and standing on the 2nd bridge in the maze gives a good vantage point (although this skull can be collected from anywhere in the level).

After completing the Maze, you'll enter the center of the Garden. On the other side of the center building, this Skull is found hanging just above the sign for Archdale Castle.

Opposite Skull of Archdale #6, this Skull is found hanging from the entrance to Archdale Castle.


Skull of Archdale #8
A Skull is hanging on the ceiling in the chamber at the bottom of the garden. To reach this go all the way down the spiral stairs in the center building of the Garden. This is also where rewards are unlocked for collecting Skulls of Archdale.

Upon reaching the Docks you will cross the bridge then walk down the hill towards the market. The Skull can be found just ahead of the light post end the end of the 1st slope and next to the Welcome Cabin.


Skull of Archdale #10
Turning left at the end of the Market, and taking the stairs upto the Lighthouse. This skull can be found hanging from a cliff near the open door to the Lighthouse.

Turning right at the end of the Market, this skull can be found hanging from a corner of the ceiling at the back of the boathouse.


Skull of Archdale #12
Going down from the end of the market, or dropping down from the boathouse, you can enter the seafront. A skull is found hanging from a boat next to the stairs that lead into the sea.

After taking the boat and entering the cave, you'll reach a section with an L-shaped bridge. The skull is found hanging from the center of the ceiling of this section.

After entering the level, you'll cross a small bridge into the entrance to the Cemetery. This Skull is found to the right when on the bridge.


Skull of Archdale #15
After reaching the first save point in the level, you'll find this Skull at the end of the path on the vista.


Skull of Archdale #16
After completing the push puzzles to lift the bridge. This skull is found hanging from the lone tree in the center of the red field.


Skull of Archdale #17
Once you have reached the Chapel, this skull is found hanging from the corner of the chapel's tower section.


Skull of Archdale #18
After opening the exit to leave the Chapel section, you will come across a bridge with a car on the other-side filled with explosive canisters. To the right of the bridge, this skull can be found hanging from a tree.
