Playing SE2 on ASUS Ally/X
By aaronlukemarshall
Hello and Welcome, this is more of a guide for playing on portable devices, moreover and in particular the ASUS ALLY or ALLY X.

The game will load up and alert us that we don't meet the requirements but we can safely for now swiftly ignore that, as this actually plays the game to be honest I would say fairly well if not better in places than SE1, although the game is not even close to being fully optimised yet or implemented, of course that is all subject to change being released at Alpha.

Overall the graphics render and perform quite comparably on High to Medium settings at 25-70FPS* ** or mostly Low settings for 30-80 FPS* **

*Both setting points @ 900p.

**However we have to ensure that AMD's Fidelity FX Super Resolution (FSR)*** is ON and Ray-Tracing (RT) very much OFF for now, RT=LOW does work, but it does suffer a lot in heavy lighting situations which makes it crash, or jump along in heavy render/light simulations situations.

There is no easy way to say, but controls on the handheld are not implemented or organic and require a modifier button, while currently there is no official controller support we can, however, get round this through the ASUS SE app or other supporting controller app. There is a couple of ways to get the controller to get round a lot of the new features with some time and effort, this in turn almost translates to SE2 M/K play or near fidelity of SE1 play, minus the new block control system.

I have tried to demonstrate below the settings that I personally have found to work best for my handheld but also to replicate the play of how I use a control setup for the SE game series.

Its not perfect and I welcome any feedback, preferably without modding any of games files to allow native play for anyone. :-)
