Beskrivelse
Derived from the Los Carteles Del Borde mod from velcroboy333, I was very impressed by the loot crate system that they had made, which as far as I can tell has yet to be replicated elsewhere. This update expands the drugs that are available and is also extensively patched with interconnectivity in mind for a variety of popular mods including Combat Extended. - This mod must go after CE in the load order if you don't want to see errors.

  • Added fent - Very powerful, cheaper than dirt narcotic often used to step on other drugs, diluting them for profit. Risky to actually take.
  • Added zoom - Go-Juice reduced to only the pure active ingredients. Smoking it gives a temporary bloodlust trait to humanlikes and will drive them insane with prolonged use, but the combat bonus might be worth it. Pro tip - Wargs can also take zoom, and once on it they'll wipe the floor with (unarmed) melee lvl 20 pirates in power armor. Train a swarm of zoom blitzing wargs and become the fiercest gang on the Rim!
  • Added red-ice - Only comes in laced form due to D:BH lore indicating that this is the case. Impacts surgery success chance and tend quality, along with some other stats, in exchange for a euphoric high, along with that feeling of getting one over the robots that took your job - by smoking their blood. Notorious for causing mental instability due to all the impurities and contaminants in it, red-ice can also be used for lacing vanilla drugs.
  • Added sindeine - Acts like a drug, can be used to treat asthma specifically (as an unrealistic game mechanic only) For now is only enabled if Lean Time on the Rim is installed, so you can use it to make lean.
  • Added lacing/spiking mechanic - Originally was planned to be fent only but I remembered the angel dust bit from Friday and decided I wanted all sorts of things to work.
  • Added more drug and gun crates, along with a new gag item.
  • Added Ideology compatibility
  • Added Bill Door's Luxury Guns compatibility - Cartel settlements will trade golden Desert Eagles and AKMs, I don't know how raid loot works exactly but I've patched that too
  • Added Combat Extended compatibility - Cartel settlements & traders sell ammunition, mostly light-to-heavy calibers and mortars, no cannon shells
  • Added Lean Time on the Rim patch - Lean requires sindeine instead of penoxcycline
  • Added Meth Production (Continued) compatibility - Adds new cartel, crates, drug packs, and street-grade smokeglass. Meth and smokeglass are patched for lacing.
  • Added Smokeleaf Industry Reborn compatibility WITH accompanying custom cartel, trade patched for CE. Smokeleaf distillate is a usable ingredient for lacing joints
  • Added Vanilla Races Expanded - Androids compatability, chiefly centered around red-ice trafficking. Includes a neutro-siphon to steal blood from any androids you come across as a source of vital neutroamine. Sapient androids will not enter willingly, but can be forced into the device once taken prisoner just like cryptosleep caskets. :(Every kilobyte of this miserable .dll was suffering. Do not ask me make any expansions to its capability. I will consider resolving - DETAILED and REPLICABLE - bug reports, however:)
  • Implemented latent Rimmunation compatibility for arms dealers and aspiring paramilitary leaders. They primarily sell Soviet-era weapons but have other choice hardware to sell as well
  • Implemented scratch damage chances to the itchy Hediff
  • Changed flake texture from green yayo into a glass pipe. Now with transparency shaders, for that real glass look!
  • Fixed drug mule pawn generation at settlements
  • Fixed cartel trade menu generation

WIP Wishlist

Mostly beyond my C# coding abilities, will have to commission someday.
--- Don't hold your breath. ---

  • Playable dealing w/ Hospitality integration
  • Cartels threaten your colony to be drug producers or give a separate, equally non-ignorable quest pop-up to give protection money or have hitmen sent your way depending on wealth & combat score.
  • Mod options. I figure maybe some people won't want the lacing mechanic, or gag/dud crates so at the very least some in-house options to suppress those might be nice.
  • An event that fires when you sell laced drugs, with variable random consequences
  • Hidden ICE faction (like mechanoids or Ancients) to accompany the DEA, and be a foil to hitmen
  • Baseline-style Xenotype for DEA to give them all the Inbred gene
  • Add animal fighting
  • Expand patching
  • A separate Weaponized Fent mod

Should anyone seek to aid me in furthering this mod, I ask only for donations of FUNCTIONING code to help move these WIP goals along, or quality assets to tweak and integrate to the existing code, in exchange for attributes & credit. And of course, feel free to patch this mod however you like. I would never have come this far if I hadn't learned to change the mods I wanted to use to suit my needs, whether that be retextures, grammar edits, rebalances, or more, thus I highly recommend it, with one caveat: If you upload it, please don't just repost this with some tweaked stats. Instead, give it a patch structure and link to this mod.

This mod doesn’t remove vanilla traders, but cartels do use a custom trader type to increase drug spawn rates. Does your save have vanilla/modded factions that are derived from default factions like Rimsenal for example?
