Preface:

"Faiza al-Rahman, president and Grand Hafiz of the Crescent Corporation, is fifty-one years old.

"If you're wondering why that is, then I can only suggest you take Temporal Physics 101: How Linear Time Works. It will be on offer from the cybermadrassah and may be accessed through any Internet-capable devices you own. If what you're wondering is how she can look so much older than that, how her hair has turned so grey and her forehead so lined, then know this; even without the rallying cry of the Great Mistake, of the destruction of the great kingdoms and the Petremirs, even now we have our enemies. There are those who still see the Crescent approach as weak. Misguided. Heretical. Their arguments are flawed beyond measure, as even the briefest study of Islamic history will tell you. That is why they are so willing to kill and to maim; because they know their words are too weak for anyone other than the greatest simpletons to be convinced otherwise.

"Faiza's rise has been meteoric, yes. A full rundown of her career is available behind a paywall that everyone in this room can evade - if they can't, I am forced to wonder why they are on an advanced computing course to begin with - but in this brief talk, I will hit the high points. She was born in a slum in Niyazovsky Oblast, the last of seven and the only one to reach adulthood after Sandstorm Raqqa hit the city. You may not be aware that Sandstorm Raqqa was radioactive, and thus not immediately fatal to her brothers and sisters. Perhaps that ignorance was more pleasant, perhaps it was not. They are at peace.

"The Crescent became, under her banner, a charitable force for good in a world where few remain. She designed the first viable Burj housing blocks, soaring towers that single-handedly put an end to the homelessness problems of cities from the Kurdistani border to the Pillars of Hercules. You can see her here meeting with the ARC's then-chief executive to discuss the Dreamtime software, designed to teach people in stasis chambers vital skills and even provide therapy for some mental illnesses. Even this lecture was partially written by her - though of course, I simply wrote the introduction, and if you're hearing this over Dreamtime or iLearn, the skip function should be the red button at the bottom left of the screen.

"But do not press it now, because here to give the parting speech to those selected for the Crescent Company Seeding, by the grace of God, Faiza Ibtisam al-Rahman!"

I'm -very- late to the party here, but anyway...
This looks excellent, truly. Would you / PLEASE / update it to work cleanly with the Rising Tide DLC? It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

None of these Colonialist Legacies mods doesn't seem to work for me?
Do they need to be in a particular order to work and/or are they not compatible with RT?
Kerovanka 22 Feb, 2019 @ 4:00pm
please update mod for RT

I was mining resources I needed (In my own land ) and they demanded I hand them over, I said no because I was running low, so they declared jihad. 10/10 perfectlly accurate

Can you update this to rising tide?

The key phrase you used there is "that this is a fictional future and societies shift over time." It's unfortunate that you think we're ignorant, but we're pretty set on the lore we've created here. The reasoning behind the cultural shift is as our mod project suggests - a Colonialist Legacy. The mass amounts of fallout that ravaged the Middle East and Pakistan caused what was essentially a mass exodus from the region(s), bringing along with them new languages, culture and Diaspora.

As I mentioned, a coalition of these current nations definitely wouldn't look like this. I've read through the civilopedia as well and the lore is extremely well crafted, but it doesn't fit this list of countries. I get that this is a fictional future and societies shift over time. These are countries with very old cultures however, and this culture is being ignored and replaced with "GENERIC MIDDLE EAST #47". Hell none of those countries (with the exception of Kuwait) even speak Arabic. It's just a shame because there is a lot of potential in this grouping of countries and you guys obviously did a lot of work on this mod.

The reason for this subset of countries is because the More Civs project was planning on releasing another sponsor situated around the afforementioned countries and we didn't want to step on anyone else's toes. Seeing as this was the case, we decided to construct lore around what a coalition of these current nations would look like. You should take a look at our extensive Civilopedia so you can see our thought process!

Having said that, my points don't affect gameplay (and on that front I would give you gold stars), but it seems that you take your lorecrafting seriously and the above mentioned points kind of ruin it.
