Description

This mod is integrated in the compilation below. Do not enable both mods together (you have to choose one version of the mod: compilation or this mod).

LINK: The Underways: Compilation

This mod is dedicated for Empire and is using Dwarf Underway mechanic to create direct connections between province capitals in The Empire of Men & it's 3 main colonies.

After recent Empire mechanics update, Karl Franz got Electoral Mechainics and one of them is "Send Aid" that spawns a degradable army under targeted faction control. This mod umpasizes this feature and allows to "send your own aid" to major Empire cities yourself.

I would like to fully avoid the word "underway" related to this mod, however it has to be mentioned, as that's the original Dwarf mechanics name. I'd imagine sending the aid more as Imperial Politics connections and back the mechanic on Elector Counts than "underway travel".

The cooldown duration is set to 13 turns and will be reduced with each controlled Elector Count office to 0, when controlling all of them for free travel within the fully controlled Empire of Men.

This mod is available for all Empire factions, however if you'd like to reduce cooldown for non-Reikland factions, please check the "Recommended" section below for supported mods (reduce the cooldown with owned tier 5 province capitals or to get the Elector Counts mechanic by non-Reikland factions).

Mod compatibility:
  • Immortal Empires (IE) - working
  • Immortal Empires Expanded (IEE) - working
  • The Old World (TOW) - not working, planned

The cooldown is set to 13 turns.

Added new effect "-1 Turn Cooldown after travel" to Elector Count office effects (check screenshots).

Send Elector Aid destinations:
  • Altdorf
  • Averheim
  • Bechafen
  • Castle Drakenhof
  • Hergig
  • Marienburg
  • Middenheim
  • Nuln
  • Pfeildorf
  • Salzenmund
  • Talabheim
  • Wolfenburg
  • Wurtbad

  • Temple of Kara (Nuevo Luccini when using OvN Lost World)
  • Sudenburg
  • Temple of Elemental Winds

How is the progress making with The Old World (TOW) compatibility? This mod would be very useful because the empire is much bigger in that mod, but also more work to make.

it's good to see another decent mod quality of life :D
I think it should be called: Empire: Send Elector Aid by steam engine provincial train :p
not underground metro like modern real life XD

Thank you so much for this mod. Can I ask you for a mod which allows to create settlements? I know that there was one existing but unfotunately I can not find it anymore :(

It should work for a saved game after realoading 1 or 2 turns, but im not sure as i only vaguely tested with an old save. All seemed to work well
