You can sort the themes by the filters I have created. There is a filter for each genre that will list ONLY the level 3 themes to that genre, meaning their best match.

You can select filters by selecting the little calculator next to any table.

It is probably best to save the sheet as a copy of your own so that you can filter at your leisure without interrupting others.

Regarding the situation that I've posted 20 Feb (Adventure/Video Game combination being "bad), the devs have released a bugfix today.

-> Video Game Theme Affinities: Fixed an issue where genre-theme affinities were not working correctly for the Video Game theme.

The other calculator is using the average method for the 2 selected genres so that is probably accurate.

The new tool looks nice but doesn't help with bha's question. He was asking about how to set the production and post-production sliders if you have something like an Action & Crime dual genre with the Gangster theme. Those are all 3 things that go great together but the sliders for Action and Crime have some big variations in them.

@bha it should be one of two possibilities. I haven't done testing with it yet to know for sure. It will either be the sliders for the first genre you selected or it will be the average of the 2 genres slider settings.

one thing I'm having difficulty with.. I can't figure out how to get perfect sliders if you combine genres.. someone can help out?

The sliders are not randomized. What Houligan saw is that Valens entered the wrong number into the spreadsheet. Post production for comedy should be 10/30/50 but Valens has it in the spreadsheet as 20/30/50. Probably just a typo.

As for your issue pepe, you had a good theme/genre combo but did you have the correct rating, correct features, correct production/post production settings, and proper director/actor for the script? There are many different things that go into if it's a good or bad movie so it's hard to know what might have happened for you when you only gave the genre/theme combo. And I did just double check the game files and it shows Adventure/Video Games as a great combo still so that didn't change.

Also, what Houligan said is probably true. In my most recent game, an Adventure/Video-Game combination was deemed as Bad/Red, even though the spreadsheets says it's an Excellent one.

Just something to be aware.

I have a guide for Premium Features, @Flavour Beans, if you're interested.
