Gamemode: Operation (3 phases)
Invaders: United States (allies)
Defenders: Japan (axis)



On February 19th, 1945 the Battle of Iwo Jima began with the landings of the 28th Marine Regiment landing on Green Beach in the shadow of Mt Suribachi. The Japanese all along the beachheads showed tremendous fire discipline and held their fire as the beach filled with landing craft and men. After a period of an hour, the Japanese opened fire on the congested beaches and the Marines began to take heavy casualties. By the end of the day, the 28th Marines would fight their way across the smallest portion of the island in front of Mt Suribachi, isolating it. A distance of only 870 yards.

Just a little note, the mod works best with game's beta status being set to "none." Crossplay (Xbox/Nintendo Switch) versions have a few bugs, particularly with the objective progression.

Other than that, this mod is absolutely fantastic and a must play.
