Flowers come in different species, some native to Friendship Island and others available only during events. They start with limited colors, but new shades can be created through breeding.

After a few days, flowers bloom and can be plucked, allowing the plant to regrow. Watering daily speeds up this process. Plucked flowers can be used at the Creation Station or placed in Flower Boxes near Visitor Cabins, though City Town has boxes only for display.

Multiple Flower Plots together form a Flower Patch, which can be managed as a whole.

Some flowers have special patterns, known as rare flowers, which can transfer their designs when crossbred. Fertilizer increases the chances of getting a default pattern. Hybrid flowers have unique patterned colors, usually formed by breeding two patterned flowers of the same type.

Basic care°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
______๑♡๑______

Flower Growth❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Flowers advance 1 growth period daily at reset.
Watering once a day with a Watering Can also advances growth by 1 period.

______๑♡๑______

Quick Care❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Hold the button to interact with a full flower patch (watering, fertilizing, plucking, troweling).
Works for all actions except planting.

______๑♡๑______

Fertilizing❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Fertilize flowers to increase chances of breeding.
Pluck bloomed flowers before fertilizing again.
Fertilizing spawns new seeds/seedlings in adjacent empty plots.
Fertilization isn’t needed in the Greenhouse for breeding older plants.

______๑♡๑______

Flower Types❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Seeds grow differently in various regions.
Flowers can be obtained through Mystery Seed Capsules and Events.
Flowers must be planted in compatible regions.

______๑♡๑______

Breeding New Traits❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Leave free spaces to breed new colors/patterns.
Two plants can breed a seed/seedling in adjacent empty space.
Mixing colors works between compatible flowers.
New traits happen in seeds/seedlings spawned at reset.

______๑♡๑______

Mixing Colors❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Compatible colors can mix (e.g., red and yellow Tulias make orange).
Default colors can’t be bred into a flower.

______๑♡๑______

Getting Patterns❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Fertilizing has a 1% chance to create a patterned flower.
Most flowers get the ombre pattern, but event flowers have unique patterns.
White flowers get warm pink patterns; other flowers get white patterns.
Fertilizer is required to give flowers their default patterns in the Greenhouse.

______๑♡๑______

Pattern Use❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Color Transfers: Patterned flowers may pass on primary colors to another flower type.
Example: Red & white ombre Tulias + yellow Bellbutton = red Bellbutton.
Pattern Transfers: Same color flowers with different patterns can transfer patterns.
Example: Sky & white speckled Eggwort + sky Dandelily = sky & white speckled Dandelily.
Hybridization: Two patterned flowers can mix primary colors and patterns.
Example: Yellow & white ombre Tulias + blue & white ombre Tulias = yellow & blue ombre Tulias.

______๑♡๑______

Growing flowers °❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
______๑♡๑______

Planting Seeds❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Use Seed Seeds, obtained from Merry Meadow, Mystery Seed Capsules, or the Seed Dispenser.
Choose from: All Flowers, Seedlings, or Seeds (only compatible ones appear).

______๑♡๑______

Flower Care❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Flowers do not die or wilt if neglected.
They aren’t harmed by players walking or running through them.

______๑♡๑______

Growth Stages❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

5 Growth Stages
Seed - 1 growth period
Sprout - 2 growth periods
Grown plant -1 growth period
Bud -2 growth periods
Bloomed flower -remains until plucked

______๑♡๑______

Growth Period❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Typically 1 real-time day.
Watering with a Watering Can advances the flower 1 growth period.
Watering makes the flower grow 1 day faster.

______๑♡๑______

Stage Lengths❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Sprout and Bud stages take longer (2 growth periods).
Flowers take about 4 days to bloom if watered daily.

______๑♡๑______

Watering❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Flowers grow faster with daily watering, but can still grow without it.
If a flower spawns in a stage other than seed, it may not always change stages when watered.

______๑♡๑______
Patch management°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
______๑♡๑______

Fertilizing❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

The fertilizer button will display the amount of fertilizer in your inventory. If there’s not enough fertilizer to cover the entire patch, patch-wide fertilization will fail, and a pop-up notification will inform you.

______๑♡๑______

Troweling❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

When using the trowel on a patch, a pop-up notification will appear, asking for confirmation before proceeding.

______๑♡๑______

Watering Options❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。
Nul with Sprinkler Hat: If you unlock the Sprinkler Hat through the "Friends of the Flowers" quest, you can give it to a Nul. The Nul will then be able to water all the plots in a biome (region) once a day. You can have multiple Nuls with hats, but only one Nul per region can water flowers per day.
Rain: After completing the "A Clue On The Shore" quest, rain may occasionally occur in a region, watering all flowers in that area.

______๑♡๑______

Watering Restrictions
❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Once per Day: Flowers can only be watered once per day. If a flower blooms and is plucked, it will still be marked as watered.

______๑♡๑______

New Seed Packets and Seedlings❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

These cannot be watered or fertilized until they grow to a more advanced stage.

______๑♡๑______
Fertilization and Patterns °❀.ೃ࿔*
______๑♡๑______

Fertilizing Flowers❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Fertilizer Use: You can use Fertilizer once per day under normal circumstances, which is obtained by using the Compost Bin (Composter).

Main Benefits: Fertilizer greatly increases the chance for a flower to propagate (produce seeds). It can also transform a non-patterned flower into a patterned one.

Fertilizing for Breeding: To breed flowers, always fertilize them, especially if trying for specific patterns.

Blooming Reset: After a flower blooms, its fertilization status resets. If breeding, ensure to fertilize or re-fertilize after the bloom.

______๑♡๑______

Patterns❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Pattern Chance: Fertilizing has a 1% chance of making a flower patterned. The pattern applies to the plant itself, not just the current flower. Once the plant is patterned, it will continue to produce patterned flowers.

Retaining Patterns: If a seed or sprout is fertilized and becomes patterned before being dug up with a Trowel, it will retain its pattern when turned into a seed packet.

Seed Dispenser Limitations: Plucked patterned flowers cannot be turned into seed packets with the Seed Dispenser. However, patterned blossoms, seedlings, and seed packets can still be composted to receive fertilizer.

______๑♡๑______

Patterned Flowers❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Rarity: Patterned flowers are considered rare but don't have a different rarity in the inventory.

Pattern Color: The default color for patterns is white for all flowers except for white flowers, which have a warm pink pattern. This color is known as the flower’s secondary color.

Effects: Special patterns with no separate color are called "effects," and they function similarly to patterns without having a distinct secondary color.

______๑♡๑______

There are 4 types of patterns so far:
Ombres (Bellbutton, Dandelily, Hibiscus, Penstemum, Thistle, Tulia, Marigolds, Eggworts, Anemones)
Trim (Marigold, Bellbutton, Dandelily, Penstemum, Hibiscus, Thistle, Heavy Nettle, Tulia)
Speckled (Eggwort, Bellbutton, Dandelily, Hibiscus, Penstemum, Tulia)
Stripe

Can be used to make double patterns/hybrids, can transfer their respective patterns, can transfer colors.

Fertilizing and watering everyday can create an ombre flower! pattern flowers are vital when it comes to making new colors for flowers. (ex: if you have a blue ombre bellbutton and you place it next to a solid dandelily of any color, it can create a blue dandelily!)

You can transfer patterns of the same color! example, if you have a orange trim marigold and place it by a solid orange of any other flower, it could potentially spawn an orange trim of said species! this also goes for speckled eggworts & ombré flowers!

You can use double patterned flowers to create more double patterned flowers! they work the same way as single patterned flowers.

You can achieve a double trim or double speckled by placing it next to an ombré of the same breed!
color transfer example: you have a green speckle eggwort & you place it near a dandelily of whatever color, fertilize!!!, have patience and you will eventually spawn a green dandelily!

In order to get a double pattern, flowers used MUST be the same breed.
Leave space around patterns so there’s a higher chance for it to make a spawn a double.

______๑♡๑______

Trowel Tool❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Unlocking: The Trowel is unlocked during the "Dig It Up" quest and is used to dig up plants.
Usage:

Troweled Seeds & Sprouts: When seeds or sprouts are dug up, they turn into seed packets and go into the player’s inventory.

Troweled Older Plants: Older plants, when dug up, become seedlings and are placed into the inventory.

______๑♡๑______

Replanting❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Freshly Planted Seedlings: When replanting seedlings, they automatically start at the "grown" stage.

Freshly Planted Seed Packets: These always start at the "sprout" stage.

Watered and Fertilized: Both freshly planted seedlings and seed packets are automatically marked as watered and fertilized when placed in the ground.

______๑♡๑______

Fertilization Details
❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Automatic Fertilization: The automatic fertilization when replanting does not have a chance of turning a flower into a patterned one.

Seed Propagation & Crossbreeding: Despite not granting patterns, the automatic fertilization boosts seed propagation and crossbreeding potential. This can help if you're out of regular Fertilizer.

______๑♡๑______

Greenhouse°❀.ೃ࿔*
______๑♡๑______

Unlocking the Greenhouse❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

To unlock the Greenhouse, the player must complete the "Grand Garden Gathering" quest.

This quest requires the permanent residence of Lou Lou, Aro Aro, Chico Chico, Marin Marin, Poco Poco, and Lutz Lutz.
Additionally, the quests they unlock must be completed, which can be identified by the Wish me mell icon.

______๑♡๑______

Greenhouse Features❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

100% Spawn Rate: In the Greenhouse, there is a 100% spawn rate for plants in any empty plot next to a grown or older plant. This happens without the need for Fertilizer.

No Fertilizer Needed: There's no need to use Fertilizer in the Greenhouse except for giving non-patterned plants their default pattern. Fertilizer does not offer any additional benefits within the Greenhouse.

______๑♡๑______

Fertilizer Outside the Greenhouse❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Outside the Greenhouse, Fertilizer doesn't affect the chance of a rarer result in breeding, except for boosting spawn rates (which is already maximized in the Greenhouse).

______๑♡๑______

Compatibility and Versatility❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

The Greenhouse can support flowers from all biomes, meaning no matter where they originate, flowers can thrive here.

______๑♡๑______

Event Flowers❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Within the Greenhouse, event flowers can spawn at any time of the year, making it perfect for growing them year-round.

______๑♡๑______

Expansion❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。

Initially, the Greenhouse has 6 plots for planting.
It can be expanded by interacting with the Greenhouse’s sign and using Worm Tails, Fertilizer, and Pollen Puffs in specified amounts to increase the available space for growing flowers.
