I've gathered all the secrets and tips from the games in this collection into a single guide to make access easier for both myself and anyone else who wants to use it. The information in this guide was taken from gaming forums (like GameFAQs) and various websites, but I only included the ones I was able to personally reproduce in this version. If I missed any codes or secrets in a game, just let me know and give some examples so I can try to test them.

I also recommend reading the next section, 'Recommendations Before You Start,' to avoid frustration if you're having trouble executing something.

I recommend playing with a controller since some commands were impossible for me to pull off using just the keyboard.


You bought the collection, so for convenience, keep the EX Settings at "Easy Select" or any other option related to cheats (before starting each game, check the EX Settings to make sure cheats are properly enabled). If you don’t enable them, some codes or command shortcuts might not work. (I'll always prioritize the easiest method—no one deserves to deal with complex inputs in 2025.)

Press up highlighted Ryu (make sure to enable easy select)

• Fight Akuma
  Reach Bison without losing a round If done right, you'll fight Akuma instead of Bison.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 correspond to the buttons as noted in game.
"Y" stands for "Yashichi", which is input by hitting the Start button.
"M" stands for "Mobi-chan", that little robot suit, which is input by holding down and pressing Start.

• Credit Mini-game
  When the credits begin hold up and press medium punch. A little robot will appear. Press light punch to scroll up the credits faster, medium punch to shoot down the letters in the credits. Medium punch can be held for a charge shot that can clear a line. Hard punch turns Mobi Chan to shoot in the other direction. Medium and Hard punch together releases a Capcom star bomb to clear the screen. Don't forget to use the move buttons to see the Mobi chan in the screen.

  To fight Oboro Bishamon and get the special ending, you need to defeat each opponent without losing a single round and using a specific EX Finisher . The specific EX Finisher required is noted below. After beating the last boss, Oboro Bishamon will appear. You'll get the special ending after the credits.

On the character select screen, go to Bishamon, hold Start, and press any punch or kick button.
You’ll notice that you’ve selected a character with a different color, but don’t be fooled this version has unique animations, effects, and moves compared to the regular Bishamon.




To fight Oboro Bishamon and get the special ending, you need to defeat each opponent without losing a single round and using a specific EX Finisher. After beating the last boss, Oboro Bishamon will appear.



After defeating Oboro Bishamon, you'll get a special ending screen featuring Morrigan and Lilith in the nude instead of the usual image of Donovan and BB Hood. However, I believe this version of the ending was removed in the collection, as I couldn't see the image despite replaying the secret ending multiple times.

Despite that, I'll include the removed image, which I found in arcade game archives.

  Morrigan has multiple unique victory poses that only appear under specific conditions, and if you input a certain command just before her regular win pose activates. If you get a perfect victory and press Up, Punch, Special, and Taunt at the same time, she'll do her classic Darkstalkers win pose with the bats. If you do the same after fighting certain characters, she'll imitate one of their poses instead.

To play as any one of the three hidden character, put the cursor on the following default character and press Down.

Easter Eggs
• Hidden Tune
  Beat the game with one credit, after your character's victory picture appears on the screen, specially when the credits starts, hold Up. The secret tune shall then appear as the credits start.

On the character select screen, go to Bishamon, hold Start, and press any punch or kick button. You'll notice that you’ll select a character with a different color, representing Oboro Bishamon. This character is the same one you fight as a secret boss after meeting certain conditions and has slightly different animations and a modified moveset compared to the regular Bishamon.
