First step: E-Rank
You need to complete E-Rank Rog a first time, then in an event you will encounter a blacksmith.
And at this point you will be able to drop items, but you still can't modify/craft them.
  • All items can be rename.

  • All items can be Favorite. It prevent them to be recycle by accident.

  • All items can be Recycle.
When you Recycle an item you gain materials. Materials gain are based on the equipment tier and are always 3 of the equipment tier plus 2 of the one below plus 1 of the one below that. In addition to that if you have level up (see D-Rank) or tiering up (see B-Rank) this equipment you will regain the soulcoins invest in it.
And that's not all. If you recycle an item with unknown modifiers then you learn these modifiers for later crafting (unlock in C-Rank).

  • Some learned modifiers and some not learned one.
Second step: D-Rank
You need to complete D-Rank Rog a first time, then in an event you will encounter a blacksmith a second time.
You can now level-up your equipments up to level 10.

Leveling up your equipment will cost you soulcoins.
Third step: C-Rank
You need to complete C-Rank Rog a first time, then in an event you will encounter a blacksmith a third time.
You can now craft modifier on your equipment.
You don't unlearn a modifier when you craft it. You can craft a modifier an much as you have enough materials.

  • You can craft or replace every modifier on an equipment. There is an icon where you can do it.

  • The number of Secondary Positive and Negative modifier you can craft depends of your Primary modifier.
Here, all Primary modifier for Rings give you 1 Positive and 1 Negative modifiers. But it depends of equipment and for exemple there is some Primary for Helm with 2 Positive and 2 Negative.

  • On Secondary Positive or Negative modifier slots, you can empty the modifier, it cost no material to do it.

  • Crafting a modifier cost you soulcoins and materials. Number of materials depend of the modifier rarity.

  • Note:
For unique equipments, Primary modifier can never be change. And secondary can be empty, but you will always have the same secondary modifier if you wants to craft one. There is no choice for them.
You can learn a unique modifier if you recycle an unique equipment, but you can't craft it
Fourth Step: B-Rank
You need to complete B-Rank Rog a first time, then in an event you will encounter a blacksmith a fourth time.
You can now Tiers up your equipment.

  • It cost you soulcoins and materials and your equipment need to be level 10.

  • Now you have an equipment of the next Tier but level 1.
Soulcard Level
Your Soulcard Level is the number of total cards you have. You can have themm when leveling up, at the end of a stage, or buying them in a shop, etc... It count every card you have.

Your Soulcard Level is here (Card level).

On equipment you can have a Required Soulcard Level.

You can equip something with a higher soulcard level than you have but it won't be activated until you have enough card.

In red, equipment (and theirs stat) that are not activated.

On a ring you can craft any modifier from the ring pool.
Each item type have its own modifier pool.

Thanks, this guide is great! Just one question - except for items with their own modifier (e.g., Halo), the item base doesn't really matter right? I'm mostly referring to the item "image" instead of the category if that makes sense. I want to craft on a randomly found Fire Ring which looks cool af.

Thanks for your advicel, and I was able to obtain high-tier equipment. I also checked out the other guide you mentioned. I have two questions: Is Mythic the highest tier for modifiers? And do you know why sometimes certain equipment has its main modifier displayed in red and cannot be replaced?

To have more equipment you must grind a bit.
Choose a challenge from the highest Rank you know you can reliably do, and add it some corruption with the slider bar if possible.
(Check my guide on Quality to know how to have the highest possible equipment)

This guide was really helpful! I don’t have much equipment yet, so I’d love to get some. Do you have any tips for obtaining more equipment ?
