REQUIREMENTS
  • The character Albiria must be unlocked & chosen

  • Must have the Black Market unlocked

  • A little bit of Luck

  • & 12 Lunar Fragments at least..
Prepare
To easily defeat this boss we want to focus on our melee weapon. This means finding and or buying consumables that boost melee damage and give us health both regular and non-permanent. To accomplish this make sure to hit up the Long-Gilled Fish merchant every now and then and buy out his: Nightshade, Heart-Eyed Glasses & Crucifix (If needed).

Event Wise try to go for things that give you Max health increases, Non-permanent health & Melee DMG increases.

Try to roll the dice and hit things like:

The Crimson Dancers
When these 3 show up you almost always want to click~
Sacrificial Lamb
If your Max health is looking low and you have little to non-perma focus this~
Red Mirror
Lower chance than the Dancers so this is 2nd prio to them~

REMEMBER NON-PERMA HEALTH IS KEY TO STAYING ALIVE.

Now onto the Frog

Rolling on the frogs is definitely not necessary but it will make your run easier if you have an excess amount of blood shards. The ranged weapon for our character is completely dog-water. So purchasing the Pirate's Gun would be a great choice (also allows you to break the Red Mirror).

Full Moon is a good take too to give yourself a second chance on the dice rolls later to come when facing the Crimson Moon Knight. its all RNG if you haven't noticed.

Another example pick is something like the Rosary so you can still use your sword without and any consequences.

Have to hit that 1% Chance
This walk-through requires that we roll the dice for a 1% event trigger, we must get an "Unexpected event". I tend to think this chance is higher than the 1% it displays in game because i seem to get FAIRLY often but only the Dev knows..

This is also where we needed the required 12 Luna shards but having up to 30 stored from your previous runs will make the run way easier (i really hate exhaustion debuff).

MAKE SURE TO GRAB THIS:

AND THESE WILL MAKE EVERYTHING SO MUCH EASIER AS YOU LEVEL UP YOUR CHARACTER:

It doesn't matter when you get the unexpected even but definitely need it before your fist battle with the Crimson Moon Knight. However, getting everything early on including the additional boons will make the journey go smoother..
Farming Non-Permanent Health
I figured this out later on with my time in this game and didn't realize how often you can trade enemies. I believe like most beginners its not really explained the impact the trade function gives you but it can def be a little exploited lol

While creating this guide, I traded 2 enemies multiple times, all enemies are stage locked so feel free to just copy exactly what i did. Im not sure on exactly all the enemies that trade non-perma health exactly but feel free to try the option and see with anyone!

In the later 3rd stage i would trade, Nadine.
If you were unlucky with your Non-perma Health events it would be wise to wait until you unlock trading in the 3rd stage and stock up before doing your first battle w/ The Crimson Monn Knight.

~ Make sure to take note of the Parasites he'll put in your inventory... Its a trade-off but he wont offset the gain at all.

When prepping for the final boss fight himself & trying to survive the crimson dancers. id trade with NIE.
Make sure to stock up with her on Non-Perma health for the final boss fight! REMEMBER IT TRIGGERS AFTER THE 3 DANCER BATTLES.
Leveling Up your Weapon
FIRST STAGE
WE WANT TO LEVEL UP OUR WEAPON AS FAST AS POSSIBLE

DO NOT BE AFRAID TO PROGRESS THE WEAPON IN THE FIRST STAGE

Upgrade the sword and the sword only for obvious reasons. I like taking a mix of Blade Fragment & Open Wound.
This also correlates to not be afraid of "Halving your maximum Health". Since we dont unlock the trade function till the 3rd stage, make sure to really focus on the Non-perma health events as stated before like the sacrificial lamb.

SECOND STAGE
HERE THE GAME WILL TRY TO SCARE YOU BUT YOURE A SIGMA GRINDSET GODDESS

This is where you want to ease up a little bit and make use of your free melee attack ring located in your inventory. The "Goddesses Ring". I've found the most success in fighting the crimson Knight in Late second stage or Beginning 3rd. It really all depends how quickly you can get to the Black Market and how much Non-perma health you have.

Remember this: You must hit an "Unexpected Event" at least once in your play through. This is a 1% Chance and where the "Little bit of luck" i listed in the requirements section comes into play.

THIRD STAGE

To trigger the 3rd stage its always going to be when you level up your weapon to 9. This means you can safely always hit level 8 on your weapon until youre ready for battle.

Make sure you have a significant amount of Non-perma health, atleast hit the unexpected event once for the black market & of course purchased the Organs from there as well.
FIRST BATTLE
OKAY, so we have our ORGANS , NON-PERMA HEALTH & MISC BUFFS.

This how ready i was:

Looks good yea?

Alright, are you ready for the hardest fight in the game?

WELL ITS EASY AS EVER NOW!!!

While lil bro is talking and putting on useless buffs like Curse and Bleed were gonna be spamming this guy right here:

If you followed the guide correctly and have enough Non-perma health you should have no problem hitting the max 85% Evade window before he starts his final barrage of attacks.

After his first defeat you now have unlimted use of your sword and now unlocked a hidden boss fight that will replace the NO-SKIN MAN!
LAST BATTLE
After playing through the 3rd stage and passing the Crimson Dancers tests you should be met with the Crimson Moon Knight once again...

but this time he has a new trick & a health bar!
thats right, every attack that you do will now only count as one heart. This also means consumables like Nightshade are now useless :( .

However his attack timing is still the same as the first battle, he will start off by trying to debuff you with Curse and Bleed. SO we will take advantage of this once again and constantly buff our evade window until it hits 85%!

As you can tell he was able to get a couple shots off before i was able to hit that max evade window so make sure to start using those med kits you've been stocking up.

From here on its totally RNG whether you defeat him or not, the odds are with you.
keep slashing away his health while hes HOPEFULLY missing his attacks on you until you whither him all the way down !!
YOU DID IT!
CONGRATULATIONS, YOU FINALLY CONQUERED THE IMPOSSIBLE !

Enjoy the ending & please make sure to rate my guide it means alot <3.

Continue from here for spoilers ~

Work in progress, will finish in a couple days<3.

Great guide, managed to beat Crimson Knight on my first run with this strat. Cheers :beatmeat:

also I'm pretty sure the percents are lying, some dialogue alludes to this saying something about it and trusting your gut.
Roxas713 27 Feb @ 12:25am
so you can item them to death and their max hp is reduced if you get the gut trade off
Roxas713 27 Feb @ 12:20am
and blood pouches can be traded for with CE

said this in a different guide but you can use antidote for the attack part to get rid of curse, you will need 2 to get through likely
On a different note, I'm pretty sure you can blast the boss phase with items like the blood pouch which Mary drops in act 1

Yea I like the way it was shown in the guide! Thank you so much!!

Sure, I still think this strat is easiest for the final battle too though. Like i stated in my guide the 1% unexpected event doesn't really feel like a true 1%. If you dont miss with gun & torch on final fight youre pretty screwed and you still need to be doing dmg at that.

I also kind of think it defeats the purpose of the characters build making it revolve around anything that's not her sword..

As noted in my own guide: Gun and Torch from zone 1 frogs can totally prevent the knight's damage (as long as you heal off the bleeding). You can also use antidotes to cure curse and then just pray to cut the damage they deal in half. Both much more consistent than organ strats.
