CR-17 Corvus Airframe

Popis
UPDATE: The CR Series Airframe has now been changed to fully stock/vanilla and is now Oxygen Compatible.

I've also included "Sleek" Versions, which are versions without landing Gear

CR-17 "Corvus" Basic Airframe:

Description:
The CR-17 Corvus Airframe is Corvid Industries first major foray in the world of exoatmospheric craft. Boasting a robust airframe, which is easily configured into a number of roles, the CR-17 sports its signature armaments consisting of Quad Gatling Guns arranged around the cockpit for focused firepower and a nose mounted missle launcher. It also sports a healthy cargo capacity and ventral mounted cargo utilities to enable Hangar bays to be spacious and keep its cargo delivery under floor. The CR-17 also includes ship mounted batteries for extended or low emission operation.

Technical Specs (Approximate):
Length: 19.5m
Width: 10.5m
Height: 3.5m
Weight: 45,009.41Kg
Gyroscopes: 8
Thrusters: 6x Small, 2x Large (Rear) 5x Small (Left/Right/Dorsal/Ventral), 6x Small (Front)
Forward Acceleration: 7.9m/s²
Armaments: 4x Gatling Gun, 1x Rocket Launcher
Oxygen: 1x Oxygen Tank

Powerplant: 1x Large Reactor, 2x Battery
Fuel Efficiency (Full Forward Burn): 15 Hours (Reactor, 15 Uranium), 43 Minutes (Battery)
(Any Differing Technical Specs will be listed with the applicable variant)

CR-17c "Chameleon" Combat Multirole Variant.

With the Addition of Magnetic Couplers, the CR-17c Chameleon is a combat retrofitted variant of the Corvus, able to be quickly switched out for whatever combat roles are needed, without major superstructure modification, with the caveat of being less effective as their other counterparts. The CR-17c comes with a set of 10 simple Combat Modules, designed for operational construction using minmalist designs, they are as follows:

CRX-1 Hound: The CRX-1 is a set of thrusters designed for the CR-17c to enable the Corvus to perform at higher speeds, although not as much as the dedicated Lightning Variant.
CRX-2 Storm: The CRX-2 is a set of gatling guns, enabling the CR-17c to be turned into an surrogate CR-19, with the downside being lack of ammo storage and connectivity to storage, the CRX-2a subsidises for this somewhat by having a custom cargo configuration enabling greater capacity.
CRX-3 Wasp: The CRX-3 is a set of triple missle launchers, allowing the CR-17c to be turned into a surrogate CR-20, with the downside being that the launchers are relatively more exposed than in the CR-20
CRX-4 Hornet: The CRX-4 is a variation of the CRX-3 but with a reloadable rocket launcher, offering slightly greater ammunition capacity.
CRX-5 Icarus: The CRX-6 is an attachable solar panel system allowing for extended operations, primarily used for recon, as the CRX-6 allows the CR-17c to recharge its batteries from sunlight alone.
CRX-6 Mule: The CRX-7 is a system of external mounted cargo containers, allowing the CR-17c a higher cargo capacity, although these are not connected to the ships systems, it allows the CR-17c to become a resupply ship, or a fast, armed courier.
CRX-7 Spyglass: The CRX-8 is a battery powered Remote Observation unit, with onboard antenna and gyroscopes, allowing for remote observation of a location.
CRX-8 Surge: The CRX-9 is a mounted battery, enabling the extension of the CR-17c's operational energy capacity and for longer low emission mode running.
CRX-9 Wanderer: The CRX-9 is a mounted battery with an inbuilt beacon, allowing for fire and forget navigational aids.

CR-18 "Lightning" Scout Variant:

Description:
Fundamentally the same as the Corvus airframe, the CR-20 Lightning boasts additional thrusters placed in key locations to increase acceleration significantly, subsequently it is less fuel efficient.

Technical Specs:
Thrusters: 19x Small, 2x Large (Rear) 5x Small (Left/Right/Dorsal/Ventral), 12x Small (Front)
Fuel Efficiency: 10 Hours (Reactor, 15 Uranium), 30 Minutes (Battery)
Forward Acceleration: 11.4m/s²

CR-19 "Hailstorm" Interceptor Variant

Description:
The first major structural reiteration of the Corvus Airframe, the CR-19 Hailstorm boasts an impressive array of 6 Gatling Guns spread across either wing, in addition to the standard weapons, all of which are serviced by automatic ammunition feeders. This array of weapons allows the CR-19 to excell at Anti-Fighter interdiction and defence.

Technical Specs
Weight: 48,283.61Kg
Armaments: 10x Gatling Gun, 1x Rocket Launcher
Ammunition Reserves (Full Load): 30x 25x184mm NATO (Guns), 998x 25x184mm NATO (Cargo Containers), 4x 200m Missle (Launcher)
Forward Acceleration: 7.4m/s²

CR-20 "Revenant" Strike Variant

Description:
The second major structural reiteration of the Corvus Airframe, the CR-20 Revenant boasts a fearsome array of 6 additional Missle Launchers, designed to be a complement to the CR-19, this variation being able to take on Escort ships and other larger ships. Each group of the wing mounted launchers can be independently fired or in concert with the other launchers on the ship, whether the situation calls for maximum firepower or ammunition conservation. However, due to safety concerns, each launcher must be loaded manually.

Technical Specs
Weight: 47,530.61Kg
Armaments: 4x Gatling Gun, 7x Rocket Launcher
Ammunition Reserves (Full Load): 12x 25x184mm NATO (Guns), 998x 25x184mm NATO (Cargo Containers), 28x 200m Missle (Launcher)
Forward Acceleration: 7.5m/s²

Takeoff Procedure (CRITICAL):
The proper procedure for taking off in the Corvus or any of its variants are documented below, Corvid Industries is not lible for any losses or damages occuring due to improper takeoff procedures.

1. Disengage the Cargo Utility. (Press 1 on the First Toolbar) 2. Engage the Powerplant (Press 5). 3. Disengage Landing Clamps (Press 4). 4. Engage Landing Gear Hydraulics (Press 3). 5. Raise Landing Gear (Press 2). 6. Once the Landing Gear has retracted, disengage Landing Gear Hydraulics (Press 3)

Landing Procedure (CRITICAL):
The proper procedure for landing in the Corvus or any of its variants are documented below, Corvid Industries is not lible for any losses or damages occuring due to improper landing procedures.

1. Ensure that the Cargo Utilities are activated (Press 1). 2. Align the craft with the mothership Cargo Utilty, lowering the craft until you have a magnetic lock (Turns Yellow and attracts your ship). 3. Turn on the Landing Gear Hydraulics (Press 3). 4. Lower Landing Gear (Press 2). 5. Engage Landing Clamps (Press 4). 6. Deactivate Landing Gear Hydraulics (Press 3). 7. Activate Cargo Utility (Press P). 8. Disengage Powerplant (Press 5)

Takeoff controls are present on the first toolbar, Weapon controls are on the 2nd toolbar page (press . to switch to it, , to switch back)

The Takeoff Instructions are repeated in numerical form on the Antenna on the map. Also, each cargo crate contains the maximum ammuntion for each variant at base inventory size. (It's not fed through the conveyors in Creative though) Each ship also has 15 Uranium ingots in it.

try to keep like these just smaller and thank you
RayvenQ  [autor] 15. bře. 2015 v 0.32
But if you like, I can design a ship that has a similar feel, as much as possible, that fits the size limits. Though would you want it with the same mods this one does, or entirely from stock?
RayvenQ  [autor] 15. bře. 2015 v 0.29
Just tried it now, absoloutely cannot alter the length of it, as it'd require me to remove half the length of the ship
RayvenQ  [autor] 15. bře. 2015 v 0.25
You could alter the width easily enough, just take 1 block off each end of the wing, and you'll be under the width you need and the height of it is small enough to fit, though altering the length would pretty much require a major redesign of the ship. I dont know if it can be done without building it from scratch, but I'll take a look see what I can do, any particular model you want making to that size, or just the basic fighter?
jarhead 15. bře. 2015 v 0.14
if you make a doorway so it is 3high at center and 5wide at center with the 45 degree angle "half block" in the corners then you'll have my fighter/bomber launch doors the pad area is 5x5 with a wall on 3 sides and a connector set in center of floor
jarhead 15. bře. 2015 v 0.11
if i do that it wouldn't look quite right
it's just that i have a 5x5x3 large block area for each ship in my carriers and stations and this is a really good design
RayvenQ  [autor] 14. bře. 2015 v 23.46
Feel free to cut down the tail and the wings as you see fit, to use them in your carrier.
jarhead 14. bře. 2015 v 23.19
can you make a set that is no more than (small blocks) 20wide x 20long x 10high. so i can use them in my carriers
