Unfortunately, there's not much you can do when the game says "okay, you're going to lose now" and ratchets the demand to unreasonable levels. I'm operating close to full capacity (you can see very few red cars in garages) and my routes are quite efficient, which is borne out by every route gradually being overwhelmed at the same time, instead of any weak point in the system failing alone. At that point, there's not much for it but to accept you're cooked, take a screenshot, and move on.
