Why do I need to farm Kane?
Almost everything in Tribe Nine wants your Kane, be it from Crafting, Upgrading Tension Cards or Upgrading Character Ranks, it will cost you Kane and the cost will get very taxing once you progress far enough into the game
(Example: Upgrading from Rank EX1>Rank EX2 (which is the 7th>8th rank upgrade) will cost you just about 1 MILLION KANE)

So now you might be wondering; What are some ways to earn some good amount of Kane in this game? Don't worry, I'll tell you the many ways you can get them and I'll try to rank them from Best to worst.
Regarding Data Chips as of the 1.1 Update
  • "Why shouldn't I use Data Chips for gaining EXP"
Data Chips requires you to spend Kane in order to use them and the amount of Kane needed is just not worth the amount of EXP you're getting for it when there are a lot more efficient way to farm for Character EXP.
Kane are used for almost everything in this game, so it's best to use them for more important things like Character ranks or Tension Card upgrades.

After the 1.1 update, they made it a lot easier to farm for Kane. so using Data Chips for leveling character is a viable option now.
Personally I still wouldn't do it just because I can still farm enemies for the EXP and the data chips are still a bit expensive to use for me, It cost 1 Million Kane for 500k EXP (and thats roughly only 2 levels) above level 50.
Farming Rifts
Rifts are one of the only few ways of getting Data Storage Devices and Cores used in Character Rank upgrades and Tension Card upgrades. The only way to enter a Rift is by using a Booster, which I will discuss later.
as of the 1.1 Update, they made it so that you can use 3 boosters at the same time and also the highest level Rift gives you Kane and TP when you clear them now.
Rifts also have extra chest when you explore them, so they are considered to be the best source for Farming Kane.
Farming Overworld Mobs
Overworld Mobs will eventually get scared when you get near them if your character levels are way past beyond the enemy level, if you try to attack them when you are overleveled, you will instantly defeat the enemy and drop their loot.
Farming Overworld Mobs has several benefits, the obvious one is that they give you Materials to use in Character Rank upgrade and Tension Card upgrades. but they can also give you their Tension Card and Most importantly, Boosters!
The farming spot that I use is in Chiyoda City, Akiba Station Front Plaza, south of the teleporter. there are atleast 3 enemies here and one of them are a former Ferocious Enemy so that means you can also farm 2* Currency materials for Judge Robot Model or 2* Tension cards. the teleporter is also pretty close so you can just respawn them quickly. There is also a spot in Minato City in Odaiba Plaza where there are a total of 6 enemies, you can farm 4 different enemies for the materials/Tension card here at the same time. it's also still a good spot if you can't instantly take down the enemy in Chiyoda City just yet.
If you find a better spot, do let me know and I might include them in this section!

Boosters are used to enter Rifts to get materials for Character Rank upgrade, Tension Card upgrades and as of 1.1, the highest ranking Rift will give you Kane and TP when you clear it. enemies drop these boosters and these should be your target when farming overworld mobs.

As I've mentioned before, Enemies has a chance to drop their tension card when killed and they will continue to drop it even if you already got a card ascended to their max level. You can use the extra duplicate cards and convert them to "Enigmatic Pieces". You can use these Enigmatic Pieces to buy 1* cards from Card Station Ω in Safe zones or buy stuff in the Enigmatic Piece Exchange shop in the shop section. In the Enigmatic Piece Exchange shop, you have the option to Exchange 1 pieces for 100 kane. This isn't much but it does add up if you keep farming mobs and rack up a lot of the duplicate cards, so don't sleep on these!

And last but not least, you can sell the mob materials for 10 kane Each. again it's not much but if you get like 1k materials, you get 10k Kane out of it.
Claiming your Daily Challenges from Happy Worker
Always pick the Kane reward!
  • What if I need TP to upgrade my Tension cards?"
Tension card still needs your Kane as upgrade cost, so you're still better off getting more Kane than getting TPs from the daily rewards. Chest already gives you sufficient enough TP for what you need. I would say only If you need a lot of TP like upgrading a card from 40>50, then I'd say it's okay to take the TP rewards from your daily challenges
[NOT UPDATED] Claiming the Luxurious Chest every 2 days
I'm still trying to map out the Luxurious Chest for Chiyoda City so this section won't be updated just yet
Luxurious Chest gives you 5k Kane and 2.5k TP and they respawn every 2 days. there are atleast 41 (that I've remembered) Luxurious Chest that is available in the overworld, that gives you about 205k Kane and 102.5k TP every 2 days!
Here are the spots for them.
Shinagawa City
Minato City
