Description
Original Mod by OwlChemist. This is an altered version previously for my own use, but every man and his dog is updating his stuff now I figured I'd upload this as an alternative. I have kept the original packageID for save compatibility. This means you will need to unsub from Owlchemist's version. Fear not, I flagged them as co-author of this one.

1.4 and 1.5 version of OwlChemist's Simple Chain's Steel with the following changes:
- Removed timber, and firewood from charcoal recipe.

This was done to prevent a discrepancy between lumber and timber results, when Simple Chains: Lumber is also in use. Without that mod, it makes no difference in any case.

- Changed charcoal production from 2:1 to 1:2
- Changed the recipe requirements from 20>10, to 10>20

This was done to prevent a discrepancy between the value of firewood from Simple Chains: Lumber, and charcoal. Without that mod, it only buffs charcoal output a little more.

It takes 50 Vanilla Wood Logs to fill the fuel chamber of the bloomery.

With Simple Chains Lumber:

It takes 50 Firewood to fill the fuel chamber of the bloomery. Given that: 1 timber = 5 firewood, this is 10 timber.
It takes 50 Charcoal to fill the fuel chamber of the bloomery. Given that: 1 lumber = 2 charcoal, and 1 timber is 3 lumber, this is approx 8 logs. Ah, the savings!
It takes 50 Coal to fill the fuel chamber of the bloomery. The amount of coal obtained from mining is undisclosed, so we'll go with "just enough to equal charcoal's worth" :P

Please note that with Simple Chains Lumber, only firewood, and coal/charcoal can be used in the bloomery as a fuel.

- Added Glower effect to Bloomery.

This was done because the bloomery is essentially a primitive smelter, which has a glower effect. This radius is doubled, the same as my Furnance in Thermoregulation.
Despite some claims to the contrary, the bloomery already had a heat-pusher effect.

-Removed free light and heat from Bloomery.

Previously the bloomery had the "only consume fuel when in use" setting, which is meant for more complex production equipment. As such the bloomery was super OP. The bloomery is essentially a fire pit covered with a stonebox - it should be burning fuel for fun. Besides, smelting slag takes a single fuel item
The bloomery is an early game production building, like the campfire. They are suppose to be temporarly until better options are discovered. As the campfire burns fuel continuously, the objective to research the fueled stove. Now the bloomery has a similar set up.

Please note, with this balance adjustment, the bloomery will burn for approx 16 hours.
Tested with steel slag, and a nearby stockpile, this amounts to approx 20 processes completed before it burn out. The pawn was tired though :P

-Added auto refuel toggle button

No idea why this lacked one, but recall that the bloomery now consumes fuel regardless of whether it is in use, be wary of leaving this switched on.

- Sound Fix for 1.5

This was done because changes made in Anomaly caused issues in the 1.4 version.

I did read the description, I understood your intentions. I complained anyway. Maybe I should´´ve complained to the devs of my mod manager. Oh well

@seb02203 - If you had bothered to read the description, you would have known in advance that this mod kept the original package ID. This was done to keep faith to older save files which would otherwise have issues swapping out mods with a different package ID.

While some mods are fine to swap in and out of a save file without issue, the Simple Chains series in particular are not . Had I used different package IDs, all pre-existing save files would have suffered loss of resources

God I hate when modders give the same package ID to the mods they are reviving... now my mod manager is confused.

I try to unsubscribe the original mod and keep the newer version in, but it deletes both mods.
I reinstall, it installs both mods...

Goddamn...

Question: could you add a patch for VFE:Classical, so that it's bronze is smelted from iron, rather than from steel?

@NeverAgain - no worries. Unless your pawn is worse than useless, you should be good on a Naked Brutality run. I can't imagine a pawn failing to craft a trestle table 6 times though XD

Why 6? 1 slag = 15 steel. 3 Attempt = 15 steel. Failure results in refunding 3 steel, so 9 steel. Another fail returns 3 steel, so 7 steel. Another failure returns 3 steel, so 5 steel. Fail that and you're fooked XD

You're right, i forgot the slag recipe. Thx relying. The balance adjustments u made are very useful.

@NeverAgain - Not at all, man..

Most maps will spawn metal slag scattered about, so you have access to steel through the bloomery. Naked Brutality starts with no inventory, but you do arrive in a drop pod - you are guaranteed least one slag chunk from the impact. Also note I lowered the amount of steel required for the trestle table to 5; a single slag chunk will net you 15 steel.

With just this mod installed, it's even easier coz Simple Chains: Lumber 's lumber is in fact a renamed Wood Log.The removed items are both mod specific. And if you are using that mod, firewood can be made at the Crafting Spot for the bloomery.

`Remove Woodlog & Firewood from Charcoal recipe` need to disscued, which make you fall in a loop in Naked brutality scenario. You need steel to make trestle. To refine steel, you need charcoal which require Lumber and Green lumber. Seems a deadlock.

@Ordinary Mob - Done. I forget the Steam ones sometimes :P

@Sprious - If you like the Simple Chains , you should check out the Simple Utilities too. I just uploaded my adjusted versions of those, with similar tweaks, changes and additions.

Loved these owlchemist mods, thanks for bringing them to 1.5 with these balances!
